www.heatcap.com/la1.html I just spoke wit the owner/inventor. Her name is Carol. She was extremely nice and very talkative-she answered all my questions and then some. The caps are $49.95. She is in the D.C. area and ships 1-2 days after receiving an order. I asked about her return policy...30 days. She saisd she is very honest and if someone is unhappy she feels that's the right thing to do. She also went on to tell me Good Housekeeping offered her thei notorious seal...however you have to pay them!(You have to pay them off to say your product is good-that's a bit shady) She wasn't able to afford it and relies on word of mouth. I told her I would posy her link and Hopefully someone will try it out. She was elated!!!! I don't have synth. yet or I would..... If anyone is seriously interested call her(she seems to do most of her sales by phoneor at least thats what I understood) I'm on EST so when I called I figured I'd have to leave a message-but she answered.

What I'm holding out for is a Hair Wash.
Maybe I'll just have to invent it myself.
It'll be like a car wash but you stick your head into a self-sealing box, it washes and you can choose an option for a gold wax coating and it sprays it on (red lights will flash outside the box to indicate the wax feature is working). Next, little soft cloths will gently sweep back and forth and swipe the water off the hair. You'll go through a quick blow dry blast and your finished head pops out the other end and you can just drive away.
Hey, it can happen!

Really it needs to be a whole head wash. . .I mean I'd like my makeup done at the same time.

Hey girls, what do you think of this heat cap? Im thinking that it might be a really good option for 'setting' the curls on synthetic hair. Its a little pricey but if it works it would be well worth it. Ive looked a little but havent really found anything else quite like it.

I have a micro heat cap (different brand) I bought a while back for hot oil treatments. It was pretty useless - hard to heat evenly or get warm enough - compared to a regular electric heat cap I already had. I suggest that somebody test this before you all buy it.

yeah Ive seen the other heat caps meant for hot oil treatments and conditioning treatments and I dont think those would work either! But this looks like it would fit over a head full of curlers easily and synthetic just needs the heat (steam is helpful)then to cool...to set the curl. Logically it seems like it might work.

IMO
Hmmmm. This probably good for those using non-conventional rollers (i.e., twisters, pin curls, etc.) but I'll stick with my molecular unit. I used it when I was cheerleading (Chicago Bulls, Luv-A-Bulls) and the curls lasted like iron. Had to finally buy a new one after 15 years of faithful service. *sniff*
Something to think about when traveling is the accessibility to a microwave. I know some hotels have a small microwave in the room, but what do you do when they don't......call room service? :-0 LOL
Again, JMO.
