There are so many threads about putting in and retaining the wave in synth hair, but what if you want it stick straight? That's how I want to wear my hair all of the time, just bone straight, and I am not interested in curling it whatsoever. Now here's my dilemma - if I sleep with my hair in braids or buns or ponytails, I wake up with it wavy or kinked or having "bends" in the hair. If I just sleep with my hair down, sometimes it's a bit poofy/tangly for the rest of the day (and I use a satin pillowcase). How do I keep it sleek and straight without blow drying it straight every day?

your hair might get a slight wave with a braid, but its much easier keeping it straight. It only takes about 5 minutes of blowdrying (if even that) to get it stick straight.

I agree with Kalika: Synth really wants to be bone straight, so if that's what you want, it should work out quite well.
PlastikHaar is available in straight, as well as Trimco. I'm not sure that Dome is, but you could straighten a wavy texture quite easily, imo. I haven't used any of the thermofibers, but I would imagine any of them would work, too. :)

Plastikhaar's straight is bone straight. I've even washed the sample and it's still bone straight.

Yeah I didnt even think of the straight textures of synthetic. They probably wouldnt pick up much if any wave from a very loose braid. And even if it did it would be a really quick process to staighten it back out. Instead of braiding at night, you could use a few big scrunchies to just loosely hold the hair.

Yeah, for straight, I think scrungis would be the way to go! :)

I have curly hair but my curly synth became straight cause I washed it in warm water. My friend has straight hair and had the same synths ....Prohair and loves it. She said it had a little flip when they were first put in and then she took a hot shower and they went bone straight. iIbelieve HOT water is the answer. Good Luck!
