Okay, this has got to be too good to be true:

The website is rather professional looking. Their prices are amazingly reasonable. The hair is all on handtied wefts. Best of all, they sell samples for $3.95 - one of each of the three textures they carry. I'm ordering some today.
The burned-and-shy hair cynic in me wants to know what the catch is. On the other shoulder, the hopeful, optimistic angel is whispering that maybe this is the answer to many of our prayers. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

$3.95? I'll bite. I waste that much on caffeine and crack every day.

one thing Ive noticed about market saturation, as is what is starting to happen with indian hair, is that the prices will drop.

just remember they will use their very very best hair for samples :)

Oh I'm absolutely sure of that, Kalika. But for $3.95 with no shipping through March 15th, hey. Worth a try, imo.
I wonder what you blondies/redheads could do with maybe a 4...soak it in that weak peroxide solution for a long time to try to 'depigment' the hair a bit, then use a really good good quality color to get the shade you want.
For $50 for 4 oz, it's almost a no lose situation. Like AMM said, I spend more on coffee and crack than that. Oh...well, maybe not crack. Coffee and wine, that's for sure (remember, I'm old).

Yeah, Kimbearly...I saw the wavy/curly texture and thought of you! Now let's keep our fingers crossed.

(I meant you, Kimbearly!! Don't know what the heck came out of my typing fingers!)

Hmm...interesting. They're in Astoria, Queens on 32nd. I wonder if anyone on the site has been there? :)

Heck, I will even take the train to Queens and buy the hair there so I know what I am getting. (If I like the samples of course).

Holly - thanks again for helping me on my quest.

Anyone want to meet in NYC??? We can all have lunch

Oh wow, $50 a bundle! That's less expensive than the Apex Remy I use! The only catch I can see is that they say they have 12, 14, 6, and 18-inch lengths available, so the $50 may be for 12". That's a pretty good price for 12" virgin hair, though. Whoever orders the sample, can you let us know what you think of the quality? :)

Yeah, they list 3 or 4 lengths and hand tied or machine wefted but only one price. Would be interesting to find out all the info on it. It might be a great source.

hmmm, I just did a "test" order and there are no options once you get to the shopping cart. I didnt go as far as signing in, maybe when you get to the very end you can choose what type of hair and in what length and color, but so far their shopping cart dosnt impress me.

I just did a check on the company and the site only went up on the 15th Feb,05. So maybe the shopping cart is still not 100% yet. It does sometimes take a few weeks to get everything up and running smooth. At least there is a phone number you can call. The price for Indian hair is pretty good I must say.

This is the response I received when I asked about how to get the length. I personally feel even if you want 14" hair, you should get the 16-18" to allow for sparse ends.

PS: The site went up on the 15th and someone here tracked it down already. Do we have some Hair Detectives on the ball or what.

You got that right.
Oh, and about the length, etc...I think it still comes down to weight - you get 4 oz of whatever length, but 14" will be more than 20", etc. I just can't get over the weft thing - hand tied? 50 bucks?
Ohmygod. I can't wait to get my samples.
