Thanks for reminding me that I need to get that.
What's up with the hair(?) on the cover, though. That's exactly what your own hair can look like underneath when you don't take good care of your extensions. Ugh.

I have this book, love it!!
This is also an E-book which every single person considering having hair extensions should read. This is the best book I have ever read on hair extension companies/comparisions/methods/prices/how long will the hair last....etc. http://www.hairresources.net/ - http://www.hairresources.net/

I wouldn't say it looks "awfull"... not your everyday that's for sure. But it is a form of art, and a very creative due at that! Not everyone is able to create such a statement.

Yup. I was planning to order this myself.
For those who have, does it contain any information we can't already get online? (Just curious.)

I imagine they were trying to do a dread-braid look with the hair, something like this: (credit: Photo of Kaytea, hair by Pepi's)

Hey Jenny~ Here’s some info on the “Official Guide To Hair Extensions” I bought mine for $30.33 at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1844800393/qid=1110003908/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/103-1924465-0905431?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1844800393/qid=1110003908/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/103-1924465-0905431?v=glance&s=books&n=507846
The book is more geared towards the hair extension artist. I think it is still a great book for anyone considering having hair extensions.
The “ 2005 Most Popular Hair Extensions ” is the E-Book download, which is more towards anyone wanting to compare every company out there and what they have to offer. Highly recommend this E-Book!!
Here is some info from the “Official Guide” ……..ENJOY!! They're main sponsers are: ax10 Hair Extension Training, Babyliss Pro, American Dream, Cinderella Hair, Balmain, Racoon, Hair Development(UK) Ltd, Wella, Mane Connection Hair Extension & Enhancement System.
These are some of the topics which are covered in the book: Line of tools & products from each company listed Hot-bond, cold fusion, braiding, sewing method Hair additions, hair enhancements, hair extensions and hair alternatives Synthetic fibre extension hair Real extension hair Client aftercare products and homecare procedures Tools needed & products required How many extensions needed per head/weight/prep time/ application time on each method Hair extension removal on all 4 of the main methods Client consultation form / strand test/ skin sensitivity test/ contra-indications of the hair extension service Hair colour- colour rings from each company Preparing the natural hair before applying a hair extension service Mixing formula for extension hair Blending Selecting extension hair colour Mixing and blending real extension hair Mixing and blending fibre extension hair Bulk blending/ mega-mixing/ block blending How to section/plan rows/ application/ placement/ extension shapes and sizes all with diagrams and pics Cutting hair extensions Great diagrams and step by step pics

Bridget~You're funny girl!!......You as well, with posting your little creative project!! I really love how we all come together and share. I am so happy I found this forum!! Just love you girls!!
Well thanks to Draakje, for reminding me I had the book. I went and got it the minute she posted. Forgot how nice it was and wanted to share some pics.
You girls should really check out the link I posted above on the E-book download. Some really great info in there on every company out there. The lady has made a table comparison of each company side by side for you to very quickly sum up what's what. This is the best info out there on hair extension companies. A++++
