I see myself getting up extremely early just to put makeup on and do my hair for school. I have a few acne scars that are embarrassing, and my skin isn't very even. I wanted to try Bare Minerals, it looks very natural. But my face seems to be very oily at the end of the day, since Bare Minerals is a powder-like foundation, will it rub off easily? And will the oil show through?

I was interested in trying Bare Minerals after I saw an informercial for it almost a year ago. I decided to try Sheer Cover instead (their website was easier to use and order from, for me anyway). Sheer Cover is very similar to Bare Minerals. Anyhow, it was easy to apply to my face but I did not seem to have the control (or expertise) to apply it as evenly as I can apply liquid foundation. And my face did get oily by mid afternoon. I was hoping that since it's a powder that it would help control the shine but it did not work out that way for me. The other thing about Sheer Cover is that they recommend that you not use Alpha Hydroxy based moisturizers before using their product. I followed their recommendation and unfortunately had more breakouts which I attribute to not using the alpha hydroxy product. So I returned the Sheer Cover for a refund minus S&H of course. I have had better luck with Revlon Colorstay recently - I tried it last month after reading good reviews of it on epinions.com.

If you try the bare minerals I hope you have better luck with it than I did with Sheer Cover. Anyway, I'm sorry I couldn't give you specific info about bare minerals but since sheer cover seems very similar to bare minerals I hope this info helps you at least a little bit.

Good luck

I found that the bare minerals makeup worked for my oily t-zone, but I am sure this varies from person to person.

The bare minerals didn't rub off for me, because the foundation should be allowed to set (warm up to your skin and blend) before appliying the finishing mineral veil. At least that's how I have been using it and it's been working.

It depends on each person's preference and reaction to the cosmetics line. Good luck to you!
