Hi, I have heard that basil oil is wonderful for stimulating hair growth but I am wondering what effect it has from an aromatherapy view? Does anyone know? Thanks. |

Aromatherapeutic Effects; Basil (Sweet) Ocimum Basilicum Calming Mood Uplifting Helps relieve mental fatigue (in small amounts) Improves mental clarity and memory promotes restful sleep Sharpens the senses Reduces Stress Helpful for meditation. Effects on the body; Cooling Lessens pain Improves digestion Stimulates lactation in nursing mothers Helpful in reduction of cellulite deposits Purifying. Precautions; Essential oil of Basil can irritate the skin. In large amounts the oil can be toxic. Rosemary; is also great for hair and scalp, with many of the same effects and benifits.
