I have many pairs of low rise jeans, some are extremely low to a point i can't wear them without a belt because the back gets too low. I never had a problem with my shirts being too small, because they're not, until low rise came along and got lower and lower that there's a gap in between my jeans and my shirt.
I try to wear shirts that are longer (Aeropostale, and American Eagle-- which i've noticed is despised here). It really bothers me that there's that 1 inch to 2 inch gap between my pants and shirt. I don't have fat bulging out or anything, but i feel so... i don't know the word, like overexposing in a very unappropriate way, it's not made to look that way and no one needs to see it, expecially the fact that i'm not at a beach and i got have my naval pierced.
Does this happen to anyone else, and does it bother you?

I'm not a big fan of low-rise jeans. For one thing, around here, it's becoming the only thing available..and I can't wear them. They're not flattering for my body type.
I think that if you want to solve your problem, you'll probably need to find some better pants. :)

I think generally low rise jeans are not flattering for a woman's body. Unless you are built like a boy they cut you in half at the widest part of your body. Not a slimming look to be sure. But fear not: This too shall pass. I remember when they came and went the first time around. But what comes after may not be any better.

I HATE that! Glad to see I'm not the only one who's been annoyed by that the past few years. I just thought I was getting old and out of style (since I'm nearly 30). I protested by shopping at the clearance racks at Dillards where they seem to sell more conservative clothes, there I found some jeans that actually came up to my waist.

I dont mind the low rise. But thankfully longer shirts seem to be in fashion now too. So that helps.
