It is me or is this forum just not taking off like your old one? Are there a bunch of hidden messages somewhere? I certainly think you had more response in the good old days.

Amen Gord, that and they promised us the new column by the weekend, and here it is Monday night? The good old days were definitely better.

We all know what opinions are like...and I've got both!

Hi guys,

I'll definitely agree that there were more posts before, but I really can' t tell you why there are less now.  Sure there have been complaints that the reason is that the format of the boards have changed, but I take exception to that.  Look around the net and you'll find far uglier boards who's traffic is unaffected by its appearance.  I think the board format may be one contributing factor, but by no means the only one.

As for the difference in how soon the column came out in the old days vs. now, the point is pretty much moot.  When the column comes out is 90% driven by when I can complete it and 10% by when Jeff can put it up.  So, if it's delayed, you can lay blame at my feet.

So there ya go.

As usual,

JerkyFlea

P.S.  I will admit this odd spacing is driving my nuts though. =)

I think it's just awful. By gosh, you pay hard-earned money to see that column, and then they don't deliver. Oh wait, you don't pay money? Err, well, never mind. But, the HairBoutique *owes* us that column, on-time, no typographical errors, and a deal is a deal right? I think the HairBoutique also owes us all professional consultations for our hair, too. And free hair products, too! We should revolt against these discriminatory, repressive policies of theirs. Oh, the nerve of some people!

;-)

No offense, Jerky Flea, but this new system isn't anywhere near as convenient as the old one. Why do we need a password to respond to a letter?

I agree that this message board is more complicated (unnecessarily) than the old one, but I'm sure we'll all get used to it. I have a feeling it wasn't JF's decision.

Gord, when you enter your password next time, set it to log you in automatically. Then you can just forget about it.
