Okay, first of all, thank you all for the help! Here goes:
1. How often should I brush my hair, and what kind of brush is best?? What is the proper technique to minimize damage/pulling??
2. How often should I wash my hair??
3. How can you tell the difference between daily shedding, and a legitimate hair loss disorder??
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I have fine, straight hair.

Well, I have a totally different hair type then you but this is what I do. 1) I brush my hair twice a day with a BBB. Once in the morning and then again right before going to bed. At night I hang my hair down in front of my face and bend down. I brush the top of my hair from the scalp to tips about 50 times. This helps distribute oils and helps circulation. Blood going to your scalp(from the bending over) feeds your hair. Each night I also oil my hair tips with either Aveda Beautification Composition Oil(thanks Karen S.) or Monoi Oil. 2)I wash my hair every other day. On the days I don`t wash I wet my hair and use a condioner only. Also I never blow dry my hair(well I do but only on special occasions). I use another tip I read from Karen S. I put my hair up in a bun until it`s dry and then it`s smooth and straight, just like if I had blown it out without the damage. I hope this has helped. :)
