Yikes. I guess she is going for the Talluleh Bankhead look. Too bad it makes her face look so much older. I think she is around my age. I am going to keep getting these highlights..........

That looks terrible, it makes her look like an old woman.

What makes you think the dark hair makes her look older? She is older.

I think it looks good. It is a very rich, natural shade for her. I think the only reason ya`ll say she looks older is because its a VERY close up picture of her.
(An un-airbrushed picture, contrary to what we are so used to seeing)
Moreover, I think Kathleen Turner has aged quite well.

I don`t like it. Darker hair does make you look older especially if you have pale skin. It`s never a good idea to go darker than your natural colour. Remember when Gwenyth Paltrow and Madonna had that really dark hair. Thank god they went back to blonde. Here`s hoping Kathleen does the same.

Not EVERYBODY looks better blonde. Think Courtney Cox, she is a gorgeous dark haired beauty. If she ever lightened up (just because she got older) I would gag! Imagine how awful that would be.
(she also has pale skin and the contrast is one of her best features)
All I`m saying is...its better not to generalize with words like...never, everyone, etc.

I saw Miss Turner (and her breasts!) in "The Graduate" in London last July, and I actually was surprised that she really does look like that. She is a beautiful woman, but I don`t think she has particularly aged well. I think a lighter shade of brown would soften her face a bit, but I`m certain that her darker hair is probably for her newest role.

Kathleen has had some disease (I forget which one but I think it`s an autoimmune one). She was on steroids for awhile and that caused her face to get very puffy.
