Madonna cut her hair to a slightly above the shoulders mid-length bob. See the picture taken on the set of her new video.

Looks like just a trim of her current style to me... (I have Madonna`s on the same list I asTerri Hatcher, only closer to the top)

It looks like she cut off two to three inches. In my book, that`s a pretty significant cut. A trim is 1/4 to 1/2 an inch. I like the shorter hair on her. When you are petite like Madonna, you look a lot better with shorter hair in my opinion.

Madonna did not cut her hair. Oh no. She "reinvented herself" again. Sorta like New Coke.

doesn`t the bottom edges remind you of Faith Hill`s cut?
Could just be the wind blowing.

I think it looks great! I am pleased that the trend is getting away from the straight and long look.

Mentioning Faith Hill`s cut (eeek!) and Madonna`s sheer style in the same sentence frightens me!

Click to see a picture of Madonna`s hair from the back. Isn`t it a cool haircut? Maybe she`ll start a trend away from that awful superlong stringy look. How can you hate Madonna??? She is the greatest!!!!!

That`s not just an instance of "wearing your emotions on your sleeve" -- it`s wearing your emotions on your neck! LOL. Please tell me that`s not a permanent tattoo. Madonna is the greatest... sensationalist! Savvy self-promoter, yes, but not long on talent.... and she`s hardly the first female celebrity to whack her hair lately.

I agree with Dave`s assessment of Madonna.

Also, as far as setting trends, yes she normally does. However, this particular cut belongs to Jennifer Aniston (at least as far as I know), she was first. I`ve seen a few others. Faith Hill`s... I believe was an attempt that went terribly wrong.

Oh, I wonder, did she cut her hair to show off the tatoo or did she get the tatoo when she saw the open spot on her neck???

I think the back of her hair is kind of cute! But I don`t think the front suits her face at all. I`m afraid she isn`t aging well in the least. She has very deep lines between her nose and her mouth and the stick straight hair on the side really accentuates it. I think she`s just in her mid-40s, but she really could pass for several years older. I`m just waiting for her "new look" to be a face lift! I`ll be very surprised if she doesn`t get one.

Sorry, but I quite like the cut (tattoo is debatable). Also really keen on the blonde with the much darker colour underneath. This is one lady who is never scared to try something different.

McKee -- I`m a bit confused. Are your comments aimed at my response or Madonna`s hair?!

Thanks for clarifying,

Jennifer

I have to disagree w/ who ever said "new style" Rosanne Barr had that style 10 years ago... In fact I think Vedal Sasoon featured in a commercial before Rosanne got it... (Rosanne and style in the same sentance..lol)

Fiona...not really to place to discuss my feelings for madonna... BUT "Like a Prayer" her porn book, her pushing the envelope as an artist, ect. which is her right but for her to say "she has no responsability to my kids, the media or her impact on our world..." Then her first song after having a baby start out w/ "when I was younger I didn`t know better..." she should of said now that I have a baby and I`ve made my money pushing smut to your teenagers I want to denounce my rights as an artist and be a good mom and protect my kids from people like ME!
