Maury had his long to short hair show again (I think he is a hair person also - he does a lot of these shows) Anyway, all of the women looked better (great!) after their haircuts. Yes, the hair went to Locks of Love. While Gord is in morning, I am in heaven - it was a great show to watch and the women really did seem to like their new looks. For those that saw it, is it me or is Beth (the tall blonde) way too good looking for her husband?)

That was a great show! Yes, I agree, Beth was way too pretty. That was really great of the actress who plays Zoe on "Once and Again" to give her hair to that girl.

Thanks for caring about my feelings, Jes. I guess the only thing that qualifies for a comment in this category is that the girl who plays Zoe is somewhat of a celebrity, eh? I haven`t watched the show yet, but I do have it on tape. The mourning (not morning) will start shortly, followed by bewilderment and amazement how stupid some women can be with their gorgeous hair.

Yeah, charity - what a stupid notion.

I think Maury should be given a plaque for his work in helping kids. What a great cause. Not to mention he helps those poor women stop looking so dreary, drab, and plain looking. They all looked so plain before, but after they looked great(except the one that looked like she had bed head, and mentioned loosing 10 lbs.). They should have made hers look a little neater. I know I`m in the minority here, but that`s my opinion.

We all know what opinions are like...and I've got both!

I`m surprised we`re allowed to talk about this show. Last year when Maury did another hair cutting show I mentioned it on the board and a nameless yahoo got upset and protested. The next day an administator wiped the post off the board. I`m glad the powers that be on this board have finally come to their senses.
By the way, did anyone else think that the one lady looked a lot like Katie Couric after she got her hair chopped off?

Thanks,
Stu

Well, it *is* off-topic for this particular board, unless one of the women involved was a celebrity.

Was it `a bit off topic` when we discussed Gord`s long-hair fettish? I`d say yes, but I didn`t complain, because the topic was in the spirit of the page. Was it ` a bit off topic` to discuss Jery Flea`s whereabouts? Once again have to say yes. But I did not object there either because it was in the spirit of the page. Likewise, discussing a talk show episode where they hacked long-haired women and turned them into short hair women was in the spirit of the page. It was a good post in my book.

Jerky Flea`s whereabouts were on topic because he writes (or used to write) a column on celebrity hair for Hair Boutique. As far as I can tell Gord doesn`t have a long-hair fetish -- he merely prefers it to short hair on women. Discussing his preference was very much off-topic, especially since it was intended to humiliate and intimidate someone whose views were no more extreme than those who admit to praying for Jane Seymour to get a bob, or who profess to love a change of hairstyle unless someone such as Winona Ryder or Katie Couric is growing it out.

Discussion of Maury Povich is more appropriate to the General Hair Talk board than this one.

I was going to stay out of the debate but since I started this topic I do have a few views to voice. There was an actress on the show (Zoe - Once and Again) and isn`t Maury a celebrity? While he didn`t get his hair cut - he is recognized as a celebrity and having an actress on the show I think the topic belongs here more than the General Talk area. If there is a next time, maybe a caution word could be put into the subject area for those that have a narrower definition for this board.
Sorry for the trouble and let`s talk hair!

""""""IS IT FOR THIS BOARD OR NOT TEST"""""

If people respond to it favorable then it must be ok, after all don`t we user keep the board going?

Jes, Your original post was off-topic. Is Maury a celebrity? In some regards, I suppose so. Did you mention his hair? No. Is the young woman ("Zoe" character) a celebrity? Yes. Talking about her on Maury`s show would definitely be "fair game" for this board -- but you didn`t mention her. Talking about the other -- non-celebrity-- women and about LoL is definitely off topic here. `Cause, for one thing, it leads me to ask, "who is Beth?" A celebrity on a first-name basis with the public? No.

Your original post may have been better suited for posting on the Hair Politics board.
