I just wanna know cause my hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders so how often do I need to get the split ends trimmed and how much max do i need trimmed considering im growing and it is layered if that makes any difference ?

I`m growing my hair out now. I have about a 1/8 of an inch trimmed every 2 months when I get my highlights re-touched. However, I use good products on my hair and I only blow dry it- no curling irons of anything.
As for your other post, if you have split ends, cut them off. If you don`t them will continue to spilt and break off and it will appear as though your hair is not growing.
Currently, I still have layers cut into my hair even though I`m growing it out. I think layers look nicer on me.

You should aim for every 6-8 weeks to get something like several millimeteres off only. But if you do get split ends quick you should cut them off above the split. If you don`t just trim occasionally.

hmmm i get mine cut every 4-5 weeks about 1/4" each time but i don`t mind because i still grow about 3/4" to 1" during that amount of time, and i get mine cut off because i have to wear a hat during work and i have to stuff all my hair underneath it to prevent my employers from getting mad at me for having long hair:D
