Here`s an thought. Imagine this message board if all of the posts came from registered users? No more "fake" posers leaving messages because they don`t have the guts to register or leave their real I.D. It was just a thought. Especially after seeing the bashing going on in some of the latest message threads.

There, now I`m registered. Funny, I still think Gordo should get a life and I now think Buzz should mind his own business as well!

I don`t mind getting bashed for my hair opinions, but really, Stu, you`re getting bit vicious. I thought you had to be registered to post here, but I guess not. It`s not a bad idea, but you probably couldn`t stop people from registering under more than one name, so there probably wouldn`t be much point to it.

By the way, Stu, my opinions haven`t wavered. I still prefer long hair over short and I still have a right to say so, no matter what you think. On occasion, I like a woman with shorter hair, and I`ll continue to say that.

Feel free to have the last word, though. Every time, in fact. Talk about someone who needs to get a life...

Congrats Stu! And as far as minding my own business, you could have just as easily walked away instead of coming back with a smart ass remark. My main point is that sometimes people like to leave remarks and pretend they are someone else. What would have stopped me from posting messages as "Stu" until you registered? And as far as an opinion, everyone is entitled to one. I myself like mostly short hair on women and long on just a few. But that doesn`t mean I disrespect Gord`s opinions on this board because he has different tastes than me. In fact, that`s what makes this board so interesting.....seeing everyone`s opinion when a post is made about a celebrity`s hair.

Everyone is entitlied to their own opinions. An opinion is not an absolute! It is never wrong, but right for the person who has it!

Gord`s opinions happen to be strong. Great! It`s just that sometimes when a celeb cuts their long hair, Gord makes it sound like the haircut destroyed her career, and was done to personally injure him! Now, he isn`t the only one who does this, he just happens to be the easiest target!

The hair belongs to the person who it`s attached to, not us!

Okay, maybe I was wrong to make it personal and for that I apologize. However, the fact remains that some people who contribute comments to this board on a regulatr basis feel they are the moderators of it. Thus, they can determine what is and is not appropriate and/or decent. That`s where I stepped in and will continue to step in. Once again, I ask who is to decide what is or is not on topic or appropriate for this board? Certainly not me and certainly not anyone regular poster. That`s why we should allow anything and everything posted to stay on the board. It`s only fair that way. For those who get offended, don`t read the thread anymore or simply go to another message board.

Sincerely,
Stu

I`m not trying to get in the middle of this but isn`t this board about discussing hair and not arguing like 5 year olds? I quike frankly am getting sick of all the fussing going on, but I do like reading the other decent posts. Can`t we all just get along? :(

It is sad enough that there is very little of interest going on in the world of hair. Nobody seems to be doing anything exciting or drastic or for that matter, anything at all with their hair lately. To make matters worse we have to keep coming across messages that have nothing to do with hair but instead advocate the rights of free speech. Free speech is fine and I suppose there is some minor element to this particular string that may be remotely about hair but in fairness, hair has nothing to do with the verbal battle that seems to be going on and frequently emerges. Those of you who are mostly responsible know who you are. I don`t need to point fingers. Perhaps the moderator of the board, the official moderator should create the concept of suspension. If you are verbally abusive or don`t confine your subject to the specifics of hair- long or short, then you are banned for a period of time. A penalty box if you will. We shouldn`t have to contemplate these ideas to behave ourselves. Personally, I don`t really care if anyone likes anyone else on this board. I actually drop in to read up on hair happenings. I find it very annoying that instead of finding anything about hair I have to read about people who can`t help themselves but to lash out at anyone who questions or disagrees with their opinion. Very sad.
