It's a shame that the only pic on Yahoo! is one of the worse ones... In the wireimage pics, the cut actually looks kind of cute. Not sure if it's better than her Pleasantville style, but I'll give it a thumbs up.

I have no idea who she is, or what she looked like before, but her hair looks really good! Does anyone else think she looks a bit like Heather Graham (apart from the hair of course)?

The write up at the bottom of the large photo seems to suggest that she just recieved a new haircut from an "expert"at this salon.Hire this stylist to make the rounds with as many hollywood women as they can get thier scissors on !!!She is so gorgeous with her hair cut over those cute ears and those micro bangs are so sexy and addorable!!I sure hope this is a trend that will have hollywood salons wading through huge piles of hair on thier floors!!!

She looks like a young Mia Farrow - Haircut exactly like hers in the years she was with Frank Sinatra. I Loved that look on Mia and now on Marley. Definitely suits her.

Yes, she does look amazing. But I'm gonna have to disagree with the "better than Charlize" part. In my eyes, nobody has EVER had a better pixie than her when she starred in the Astronaut's Wife.

Anyone wanna bet she's wearing a wig next time she makes a movie?

What's your point? Meg Ryan wore wigs when her hair was long, so has Jane Seymour ... lots of actresses have. Likewise, lots of short haired actresses haven't worn wigs...

I agree that Charlize's pixie was great, but do you remember who has introduced this style into the movies? I think it was Jean Seberg. And her haircut was a part of my own family's story.
Jean cut her hair very short for the role of "Saint Joan" in 1957: http://www.dacre.org/stills/webs/Sebf081.jpg - http://www.dacre.org/stills/webs/Sebf081.jpg
One year later it was my mother's turn. She cut all her hair off after watching "Bonjour tristesse" ("Good morning sorrow") with Jean as Cecile. Here's the only picture from that movie I've found: http://home.hiwaay.net/~oliver/bonjourtristesse.jpg - http://home.hiwaay.net/~oliver/bonjourtristesse.jpg Better example of Jean's pixie: http://www.filmarchiv.at/events/prem/pics/seberg2.jpg - http://www.filmarchiv.at/events/prem/pics/seberg2.jpg
As I learned later, father's first comment upon my mother's new style was: "Good morning sorrow, goodbye hair", but she kept it for many years, much longer than Joan herself did. Of course she wasn't as beautiful as Jean, but the haircut really worked for her. I remember our regular visits at barbershop in the middle of the sixties. The barber used to call us (me, 5 years old, and my mom) "guys" or "lads". I wasn't able to understand his irony, but we both were happy - mother with her "Good morning sorrow" cut and me with my crew cut.

Yes, thanks for the history lesson lev! I wasn't aware of Jean Seberg. About as far back as I can recall is the '60s cuts by Vidal Sasoon and of course, Mia Farrow's look for Rosemary's Baby. Hopefully Marley will keep hers for a bit because it really does look nice on her.

Its funny that you bring up Rosemary's baby.

In the March issue of GQ magazine they had a tribute to great horror films featuring current actors. Marley Shelton was featured in the tribute to Rosemary's baby with a short blonde pixie in a magazine that published about Feb 15. Obviously based on wireimage that must have been a wig and her hair was still shoulder lenght. Looking back it is pretty obvious that it is a wig in the picture.

3 weeks later she shows up with her hair cut that way. She must have liked the wig so much that she went ahead and chopped it off.

Usually I am a huge fan of short hair and I do think it looks hot on her. However I can't say that it looks better than she did with long hair. She is just plain a beatiful girl.

from the 4/14/2003 issue of People (with Nicole Kidman on the cover) p.124

Marley Mia!

Marley Shelton took a shortcut to chic in a homage to the young Mia Farrow. Stylist Chris McMillan, the man behind Jennifer Aniston's "Rachel" cut, is responsible for the new crop: "I'm a huge fan of 'Rosemary's Baby' and I knew that Marley could pull off this look." In the 60's Farrow created a sensation with her boyish style. Another blonde with perfect bone structure, Marley just might do the same.

The article includes before and after pics of Marley along with a Mia Farrow pic.

Some women look so much better with long hair. Bridget Fonda comes to mind.

But, I just can't get over how much hotter Marley Shelton is with short hair.

She was cute with long hair, but indistinguishible from the other stars of teen movies. She stands out now.

She looks so hot with that super short style. Her long hair was ok, but damm she is hot now and she looks so happy, and thats whats important is that the person wearing the style is happy, besides looks good. I hope she keeps it this lenght for a while.
