I promised to depress Gord and so here is a look at Monica's new shoulder-length HEAVILY layered 'do: http://www.etonline.com/movie/a15705.htm - http://www.etonline.com/movie/a15705.htm . Make sure you play the video to see it better. Must have done it for the part in the film she is currently shooting, since she's had the same style for quite a while now.

Actually, I don't think the cut itself is that bad, it just looks as though it's been styled while on the deck of an aircraft carrier. And, as my friend Andy said, it makes her look oddly like Shannon Doherty. Anyway, I'll reserve judgement until I see it done again. Then again, it did look great before...

Sorry, Gord.

There are more pics up on Wireimage, from the Matrix Reloaded premiere. Maybe they're on Yahoo! too... anyway, overall it doesn't look like she lost too much length, and I like the bangs on her. So I guess I give it a thumbs up...

Yup, not as short as originally feared, but still very layered.

and a few others...

I like it. The layers will work well with her curls. Kinda iffy on the longish bangs, but they seem to be working for now.

Gord you never cease to amaze me. An absolutely beautiful lady with a medium/short hairstyle and you go yuck. I may be a bit of a woman's short hair fanatic but I would never say "yuck" on the apperance of a beautiful long haired lady.

You are a long haired fetishist to an extreme, so much so that you can't appreciate a beautiful woman with medium or short hair without saying "yuck". That really is too bad!

I can make a broach, or a hat, or a pterodactyl...

Cough. Ahem.

Same layered cut, just styled full and straight in one and curly in the other. In fact, in the first, you can see the bangs and layers around her face. Again, longer than it originally appeared on ET, but definitely not one length anymore. Looks great.

And don't call me Shirley,

EXTENSIONS!!! This is why I hate $%#@&* extensions!!!

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/030515/168/42orh.html&e=13&ncid=707 - http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/030515/168/42orh.html&e=13&ncid=707

She was wearing extensions the whole time and I was right in my first post that it's heavily layered and to the top of her shoulders.

And, for what it's worth at this point, I think it looks great. I said I'd reserve my judgement until I saw the ACTUAL cut styled again, and this shows that it was an excellent choice. Great shape, great curls, frames her face very well. Loved her long hair, but you have to admit that this is quite fetching.

Hey fatmoogas, remember when you accused Jerky Flea of take care of me, going as far as referring to me as his protege? I harken back to 2003 when my spiritual leader promised to "depress me" (actually, my alter ego Gord) by showing me Monica Bellucci with shoulder length hair. Well... five years later, I'm pleased to say that I survived that (and Alanis' haircut and Ann Curry's haircut and Rhona Mitra's haircuts and... well you get the idea) and can now laugh at the past and point to Ms. Bellucci's hair today in Rome, Italy. To quote Google's language translation machine, "Molto Bello!"

As she gets older, she does seem to be acquiring a kind of witchy, Adams Family look.
