This beauty has got to have one of the best heads of hair around. She definitely deserves some closer attention from me.

Long one of my favorites, despite some recent dodgy choices in roles. Sure I prefered her with short hair, but so what: Kate B. is still a fox.

Er, let's try again.

Long one of my favorites, despite some recent dodgy choices in roles. Sure I prefered her with short hair, but so what: Kate B. is still a fox.

Love her long hair! Hope she grows it longer! When did she have short hair and how short was it?

I forget what the movie was called--Brokedown Palace? She and Claire Daines were in it and they both wound up with short haircuts about halfway thru the movie. Anyway, I think it wasn't just wigs. I can't be sure of it.

Brokedown Palace is correct. Her hair was evn shorter in a movie called SHooting Fish, where it was so short it was spiky. Very good looking with any haircut.

Kate's hair looks great long. The pixie she wore in "Shooting Fish" didn't look good on her. It looked slopily cut and made her look like a boy. On a woman as beautiful as Kate, that's tough to do. Maybe it was just the cut.

Her short bobs in "The Last Days of Disco" and "Serendipity" were hot.

"Serendipity"

It may be a wig, but her hair looks great in the forthcoming "Underworld."

I could not recall the title "Shooting Fish." Just as well - not a great flick. However, I just loved that pixie she sported. Still, the woman, I tell ya, can do no wrong, lousy choices in recent roles notwithstanding.

Is it real? No extensions? SHocking to see a star actually grow their hair out so long. It looks nice in the wireimage pics.

Shooting Fish was a British film, didn't play very long here in the states. I thought it was okay, I saw it because Kate was on the poster and the hair looked awesome.

I have to agree, she looks grand with any length hair.

Don't take this the wrong way, pals, but she looks like a boy in at least one of those photos. Two, if you take away the lipstick. And she looks really plain in the third.

With the long hair, there's no mistaking her for male. She's lovely.

The shooting fish pic was great!
Serendipity was not bad.
Current wireimage - is it possible to see the other side of her face?

In some of the pics of Kate with short hair she looks cute and feminine, in others Gord is right she doesn't look good. Almost like two different people. Weird!

Long hair Gord doesn't automatically look good on all women or make them look more feminine. Kate looks great with long hair, but I have seen some long haired women that basically look like "hippie" men. It all depends on what style works best for the woman,
.....although a really feminine woman usually looks feminine with any length of hair.

While I think Kate looks very good with long hair, there was no mistaking her for a boy. You could put her in a suit of armor and she'd still look feminine.

One of those pictures was of her in a movie about being in prison, I don't think they let people get gussied up in Asian detention facilities.

Just my opinion but I think she looked great in Shooting Fish and tired in Serendipity. She had a cool, sexual quality in Pearl Harbor but that was not a good movie.

I suggest you rent Shooting Fish. If you still think she looks like a boy, perhaps you need your eyes checked.

You crack me up. I have seen many hot looking long hair ladies cut there hair very short and still look very feminine. Some got buzz cuts but even from the back they still looked like a female. I have seen only two that I can remember that had super short hair and I couldn't tell if they were man or woman.

Kate is very pretty and womanly, there is no mistaken her for a boy. Although you tell her she looks like a boy and she could kick you butt like a boy could. I looked at all the pics on there and they all were good even the long haired ones and none of them made her look like a boy IMO.

Ok, put your hair preferences aside, look at this one and vote. In this photo, could Kate be mistaken for a boy? (And Shorthair, I don't want you using one of your seven aliases here.)

I agree Gord, without makeup, in a t-shirt, without earrings, with a poorly cut hairstyle, ----- she doesn't look too good, a little like a boy in fact. Can't disagree.

In other photos of her with short hair she looks quite different. Quite feminine and adorable.

What is the point of this by the way? To prove that long haired females look more feminine? If so I don't agree with that premise. Plenty of attractive very feminine females with short hair. You should see my wife with her short style.

I don't like the long locks at all. I prefer her with chin/shoulder length hair--it's still got length but allows you to still focus on her very pretty face.

Just my $.02.

The picture is from the side, her chest is obscured, and she isn't wearing make-up. She could be mistaken for a boy, but any short-haired woman could be. That doesn't mean that she isn't feminine or totally hot in that cut. I'm secure enough in my manhood to be seen with a woman whose hair is so short she could be mistaken for a boy. If Kate wants to cut her hair short and dump her husband for me, I'll sacrifice the embarassment of her having short hair.

If short hair on women is unfeminine, is long hair on men unmasculine? I know a lot of women who would disagree.

While I didn't like the "Shooting Fish" cut, this one looks pretty good on Kate in other pictures. While I like the long luscious locks Kate has right now and the short cut she had for "Uncovered," this is my favorite Kate style:

Please don't read into my e-mail any further than what the question says. I'm not trying to make a point. I already stated my preference for Kate with long hair, but she looks amazing in the photo you just linked. She obviously changes her look from time to time, depending on the role. A few e-mails ago, people started challenging my statement that in one of the photos, she looked like a boy. I'm simply taking a survey. So far, I believe the vote is 3-0 boy. Carry on...

That is just one photo Gord where they tried to make her look as plain as possible. In other photos she looks like a feminine woman with short hair.

But I am not going to argue with you Gord because we all know you are a guy that JUST ADORES long hair on the ladies. And no one will ever, ever change you on that, I know!
You can't teach the old dog new tricks can you now Gord dear!-(tee hee)-.

Ee, I only clicked this topic by mistake, but once I started to look. . . well, she does look pretty nice. .. at least when she has very short hair. . . But then again, there's not a woman alive who can't be improved by a nice, short haircut. . .
And the person who thinks any woman with short hair is immediately unattractive, and immediately looks like a guy. . . when you were a child, did you have like really conservative parents who taught you to identify genders based on whether a person's hair is long or short? Because that's what mind tried to do with me. *sweatdrops* I'm just lucky I escaped that outdated mentality long ago, or I might be stuck in the same boat. Instead, I have an uncanny ability to identify people's genders despite the length of hair or how their clothes look.

Actually, Bubba, when I was in college, I got a chance to interview Debra Jo Fondren, the Playboy Playmate of the Year who had hair to her knees. I've been a longhair lover ever since.

And if you read my posts a little bit closer, I said Kate looked like a boy in one photo. I never generalized and said a woman looks "immediately unattractive" with short hair. You might be new here, but if you search, you'll see I compliment an occasional shorthair style.

With your comment, "But then again, there's not a woman alive who can't be improved by a nice, short haircut. . ." should we assume that when you were a child you were rewarded with candy every time you got a haircut? Come on, get real.

I don't recall us establishing that looking like a boy is a bad thing. Call me an ass-raping faggot but I have seen plenty of women who were both attractive and somewhat androgynous.

What the f--k are you talking about? I use the same name EVERYTIME I post. I have never used another name. I have used this name for at least three years now on this board. As for your question, no she looks like a shorthaired female with no make up on. no guy unless he was gay like you, would wear such a womanly hair style. just because i think she looks hot with short hair isd no reason to start breaking out the insults. You don't like it when I did it to you or any one else does it to, so go back to your crack house in detroit and grow up.

LMAO. Your post is a riot. I love the way you take things so litterally. For all you know, every post I make here could be a put-on. After more than 700 posts, maybe I really hate long hair! Wouldn't that be something? How would you know? Who would ever know? Well, Hal would know because Hal knows everything.

Let me digress... When I worked at a weekly newspaper more than a decade ago, a co-worker and I placed a series of phony classified ads in which someone named "Strawberry Blond" was seeking someone named "Blue Eyes." The two had supposedly met in a bar and they hit it off, but parted without exchanging phone numbers, despite having feelings for one another. Week after week, we placed the ads (free, of course, since we worked there) and they gained quite a following as the two ficticious characters went through a series of emotional encounters. Readers wondered what would happen next. The series of ads ended with Strawberry Blond and Blue Eyes both being men, of course. You should have seen the reaction we got! I tell you this story because the reaction to that ad was quite like yours here.

Bro, I was just messing with you. If you say you only use the Shorthair handle, I'll take your word for it. I was only joking that you had seven aliases and might stack the vote in favor of the lovely Kate looking like a girl in all of the photos, contrary of my opinion of her in the one photo.

By the way, are you going to Jim Rome's show Saturday at The Palace of Auburn Hills? I'll be there! I'm betting there will be lots of women there with great hair, perhaps some of them even celebrities. Are there any other "clones" out there?

In the meantime, I better tell my wife I'm a gay guy on crack before she hears it from you first. Still LMAO!

I'm betting there will be lots of women there with great hair, perhaps some of them even celebrities. Are there any other "clones" out there? No I won't be going to the Palace to see Jim. I was going to go to Selfridge to see the air show but I was working till noon today then I took my nephew to see Spy Kids. The one young Girl that Judy said was his girl friend was cute and had a cute shoulder lenght razored cut. The blonde looks the same you will be happy to know Gord, Long and blonde. Carmen is still cute and still has long hair as well, in the movies her hair is always curly which I find very sexy, but in real life most of the time she wears it straight. Any way that should be a differnt post so don't get mad at me for posting some thing off topic like you like to do to people.

In the meantime, I better tell my wife I'm a gay guy on crack before she hears it from you first. Still LMAO!

I didn't know you were married, so whats his Name.

And what about that woman was it that gave you such a fetish? Was she the first person you'd seen with such long hair? Was it influenced by the fact she was a Playmate, or would you have developed the same fetish if the first woman you saw with that length of hair were a smelly, unwashed hillbilly? I'm always curious as to why people do the things they do, and where certain ideas and traits come from.
*shrugs* My assessment of you came from your posts I'd read. Admittedly, I haven't read them all, but what I have read, there was perhaps one that complimented a not very short haircut, where the rest would either lavish attention on long-haired women, openly bash short-haired women, or often both in the same post, as in here. I was only commenting on the obvious strong dislike of short-haired women, and wondering what the genesis of such feelings might be.
As for the genesis of my own preference, I was raised by conservative parents who did teach me to identify genders based on length of hair. To them, women had to have long hair and men had to have short. Being female (guess you didn't know that, did you? :-P ), I wasn't allowed to cut my hair at all during childhood. I have, however, had a fascination with short-haired women ever since I first found out women could have it. That fascination coupled with the fact I was forbidden to cut mine was what got me started liking short-haired women almost exclusively.
So what's your story, then?
