No, her hair wasn't any different at her public appearance today. Still long and gorgeous. This is celebrity hair talk, not just celebrity hair changes. And it's always a good time to talk about Anna's hair.

I was thinking about putting up a post about her as well. She is missing the US Open again. I think she has to choose to be a competitive tennis player or to just go for modeling and all that. I think, if she cut her hair and got on a real training regimine to show people she was serious about her tenis, she could rock the tennis world.

Isn't it way more trouble than it's worth to try to keep up with that much hair? I mean, really, when it's that long, it'll just flop there looking limp, get tangled more easily, and it's too long to do much styling besides ponytails and braids. . . it's like those Barbie dolls they make with all the superlong hair that's supposed to be so great for styling, but about two minutes out of the box you figure out there's just too much to deal with and chop it off. Or was I the only one who ever did that? *wishes that tragic girl just would :-P *

Okay she is beautiful but I bet she would be more beautiful if she had some style to the hair.

Honestly People!
She's a beautiful woman who has beautiful, thick, long, blonde hair...
I'm a short hair fan but I can accept that her hair suits her fine as it is and is a part of her image. I think that it is absurd to suggest that cutting her hair would mean she could dedicate herself more to tennis, or that her hair is without style.
Her main value as a tennis player now is not how likely it is that she'll win, but how many people it puts in the stands and watching on TV. Her beauty and her off-court activities build that following. She (and many other of the attractive new tennis players) are the WTA's dream girls. How many ads/covers/websites have you seen for Emilie Mauresmo or Lindsay Davenport?
If she changes her hair, it would certainly be news, and I'd certainly be interested, but I'm not holding my breath.
... my two cents, Edd

No, shorter hair would not show her dedication as much as playing harder would, but I think it would wake some people up who think she is just a flake. As to following her, we all keep up with Jennifer Love and others who snip on occassion. I think she would want people to know she is beautiful, not just cuz of extraordinary hair length.

Anna is getting dangerously close to Crystal Gayle territory – being known for how long her hair is, rather than how good she is in her field.
Yes, Anna is gorgeous, but she gets clobbered on the tennis court. I don't think it has anything to do with her hair, moreso it has to do with her attitude. She doesn't apply herself like Martina Navratilova used to because she makes more on modeling than she would on the courts.
Peggy Fleming had long hair as an ice skater, but she was a champion due to dedication. Likewise, Dorothy Hamill was a gold medalist with short hair.
Maybe female athletes are at a crossroads when they can be sexy and incredible at what they do. It's that way for Brandi Chastain and Cammy Granato as well as the Williams sisters.
I'd prefer Anna to cut her hair, but she doesn't consult me on such matters.
------------- Peace to all

I hate to even think about Anna with shorter hair, but in this photo, posted today, her hair is about a foot shorter than it was the last time I saw her at Joe Louis Arena between periods of a Detroit Red Wings hockey game. At one time, it was down to her butt. It isn't any more. (And gawd, she's amazing in person!)

Not only is her hair getting shorter, it is also getting more layered. But she does look incredibly glamorous.
