It's not a bad length for her, it just needs a little style.

Been waiting for pix of the short cut. You gotta give Lisa credit, when she decides to cut her hair she doesn't go halfway. Which doesn't mean that she shouldn't consider that an option.
Anyway, a quick analysis of this: First, Lisa, for some reason, doesn't like the fact that her hair is naturally wavy/curly and straightens it constantly...even though it looks great full and wavy. Second, she keeps getting bangs cut (which you can tell she has if you look closely at the sides of the style around her forehead) and then pushes them back...even though she looks better with bangs. Third, she insists on parting it in the middle, even though she's looked great the few times she has broken down and gone with a side part.
So, what am I saying here? That it looks like she actually has a pretty good short layered cut that (I'm guessing) looked pretty darn good when she first got it done and styled. Lisa, like many women when they get a new cut, unfortunately has fallen into the habit of trying to style it the same way she styled her long, unlayered style. Which never works. Ever.
So, give her a bit of leeway here to see if she lets it get a bit fuller, wavier, bangier, and/or side-partedier (yeah, so that's not a word, big deal) before we pronounce it an unmitigated failure.
By the way, anyone want to bet they just make here wear a wig or extensions all season to play Phoebe? Never understood why Phoebe couldn't have short hair. All of the other women did at some point. Go figure.

I saw her several weeks ago on some talk show, and her hair was this short, but styled MUCH better. Very similar to the popular Reese Witherspoon cut, very full with a side part and all the flippy layers around. Looked adorable. I'm happy to see Lisa try a shorter length, but certainly agree this ain't the way to style it. Lisa, please, let your volume, waves, and curls show! That goes for the rest of you, too! :-)
Also curious to see how it appears on Friends. I really hope they don't cover it up with a wig this time. What, the flakiest character on the show can't change her hair length?

just adding my 2 cents about not letting her wear her hair short on ''friends''. her character on the show is a wacky, dizzy hippie. which they want i guess with long hair. that way she can do at times odd updos that fit her character. also no offense to lisa. she is getting older looking and the long hair with bangs softens her. with the money they get paid they have no reason to complain. if her chartacter calls for long hair then thats that. they only let lisa wear her hair short once on the show. when they thought if things were different. lisa was a business women. i honestly can't see her chartacter with short hair as a goofy hippie. again just my 2 cents

I agree with Monica. Phoebe isn't one to do much of anything with her hair. I can't see her going to a salon and getting a trendy shorter cut. Monica and Rachel, yes, but not Phoebe. Lisa may be tired of long hair, but I doubt her character Phoebe ever would be.

There was a great picture of Lisa in the parade section of the news paper Sunday... her hair was styled very nice and you could really see the details of her cut... look MUCH better than the wireimage pics of her!

I think it looks sleek and chic on her!! Really does make her look more youthful and hip. The long hair, in my opinion was dragging her face down.

She looks kind of like there is somthing missing. I don't know what it is, but it looks a little odd. Maybe it looks better styled. I don't watch friends, but with what I know about her character this won't work. Ah well.

This is part of the whole Hollywood hair goes above the shoulders trend for fall & winter. Look for it to have big and full bouncy curls soon too. It's no longer an underground trend, America's ready for a new glamour and this look's going mainstream. Keep an eye out for who's next. This length was my prediction for Jennifer Anniston--not sure now.
