In the area where you can upload your own personal icon file to go along with your signature, there is a list of specifications about the file that you can upload. #2 reads as follows:
2. Image must not be larger than 100 (width) x 120 (height) pixels
Oddly enough, however, the software for the messageboard doesn't enforce this restriction. I would humbly ask, then, that everyone uploading an icon file respect and follow that guideline (along with the others). Giant icons detract from the readability of the board entries and large file sizes slow down retrieval time.
So, if at all possible, if you have an extra large icon, could you reduce it down to a more manageable size? You'd have my (and, I'm sure other's) gratitude.
Thanks, JF
P.S. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then it most likely doesn't apply to you.

Oh yeah, I changed it, oops! Time to find something smaller and more appropriate, like Bea Arthur, a celebrity with hair.

There, a blood-filled donut, just one of the many delightful icons available for the choosing. Bea Arthur, sadly, was not available.

i agree to. You looked very pretty with the long light blonde curly hair but look just as good with this short hair style, I know Gord will hate it, but will love your old look. Whats important is that you like it.

i like my hair both ways. my hair was very pretty long, but it was very difficult to take care of since it was thick and curly. I chopped it all off mostly for convenience---besides, it's nice to actually have a style to my hair as opposed to it just laying there.

Don, the BLOOD-FILLED DONUT, MAAAAN. Anyway, tanx. All I was doing before was paying homage to one of the geniuses of twentieth century music, Don (hey, whaddya know?) Van Vliet, aka Captain Beefheart. An icon deserves a large icon, after all.

Whats important is that you like it. [/QUOTE]Gord doesn't "hate it," but Gord wouldn't be honest if Gord didn't say, My goodness, you were stunning with long hair. What were you thinking? And I'm cursious: Do you get as many looks from guys with short hair? Do you have any regrets whatsoever? And in case there is any confusion, shorthair, i'm not addressing this to you. You've had your say.

I've gotten a few bad remarks---ex: "not as sexy," and that made me feel self-conscious. But mostly i've gotten just as many compliments from people with short hair as i did when i had long hair. Most say I look older and that it's a style that fits my personality more. When i first cut it, it was more out of frustration than anything else--it was extremely difficult to take care of my hair because it was so naturally wavy and color processed, etc. i cut it about to shoulder length, maybe a bit shorter. after about 6 months there, i went to my current style. i love to just play around with different things, so i'm sure i will begin to grow my hair out soon. i just needed a change for a while, that's all.
When I cut my hair this short (to me this is very short!) I bawled like a baby---I HATED it at first. I had been hiding behind my long hair for so long. I had just grown out my bangs and was already feeling very self conscious at this sudden forehead that the world could see! Now I noticed how round and full my face looked, etc. But in the end I'm glad that I had the confidence to wear my hair like this, since it was something I'd wanted to do for so long, I just never had the courage. Although sometimes I wish I had long hair again, I'm glad I parted with my hair for that time. I don't think that's the last of it, though...I've been thinking about growing it back out. Just for kicks.

Last I checked we were living in a free country were we could have more than one say about some thing Gordo and as far as I know this board is the same way. If you weren't so predictable maybe people would not pick on you so much. I love short hair but I do not go around and say that everyone should cut there hair short nor do i say that everyone would look good in short hair. You on the other hand have on once or twice said any thing remotely nice about a woman that chopped her hair. just in this topic you told Whittney "what were you thinking", thats a real confidance booster to a person that did a dramatic hair cut. Grow up and stop being such a jerk and people may stop making fun of you.

| Oh, what a hero... coming to the defense of a damsel in distress -- except Whittney wasn't in distress! It's interesting that Whittney handled my comments better than you did. I'm not a liar. I'm not going to say I like something when I don't. You said it: We live in a free country. But apparently I can only say what makes you happy? I'm not here to build confidence. I said what I had to say and if that makes me a jerk, feel free to crucify me, per usual. And I truly appreciate the fact that Whittney answered my question in a logical, mature fashion.
Long hair rocks. I'm not concerned about being predictable -- or popular! .I'll not waiver despite your pouting act, Shorty. I've not complained about people making "fun" of me. We are diametrically opposed on our hair views. I'm getting a little tired of having to defend myself every time you go on a tirade.
How about this suggestion: If you have something to say, say it about hair!
Speaking of preditable, here is my next prediction: A third party will now speak up and tall both of us to calm down. Bla, bla bla...

I don't think my hair is a bad change, nor do I think it's an improvement. I think it's just different. If Gord doesn't like my hair now because it's short, that's fine. If shorthair75 likes my hair better now because it's short, that's fine. All that matters to me is that I like my hair, and I love it. That's part of why I cut my hair in the first place....because I needed to prove to myself that it's just that---hair---and not a vital organ or anything. My hair is just a small facet of who I am...and I feel great about my choice.
*playing Third Party* Now, let's all calm down here, no need to argue...make love, not war kids!
