Man it is really rare that you can get three hot celebrities all to cut their hair short and I like none of them... Kirsten Dunst definately cut. There's just no denying that it is cut almost exactly like Maggie Gyllenhal's used to be. Not a great look on her at this time but I'd say its a start of good things. Thats a nice length for her in general and once she figures out how to wear it better it will look great. Julie Stiles looked great two weeks ago. She cut just a bit more off and ruined it IMO. Just not as good as before. Not terrible but she had it really great with the last cut. Maggie G. Can't tell if its cut or just styled weird. Either way weird is the operative word. She's always quirky but this is not attractive. ------------- |

I like all the new looks, myself. I think Julia Stiles did look slightly better a few weeks ago, but she still looks very good. Maggie looks like she got some kind of Shannyn Sossamon type cut going on, a weird punky style, but I like that look on the right person. Assuming it's cut(and it almost has to be) I think this is the best kirsten has looked, but it looks better than she has looked lately. |

I think Julia Stiles' hair is the same as it was last month. Just tucked behind the ears is all. Kirsten Dunst looks better than when her hair was scary long, but this may be put up. She hasn't looked that good since Spider-man. I don't know what's with Maggie's hair either. I never realized she had such a cute face. ------------- |

I'm not convinced Kirsten's is cut... I'll have to see it from behind to believe it is. But Julia's hair looks great... I like the color and the cut. Very nicely done :-) ------------- |

| I saw some pics of her on rex features a while back and it looked like she had cut her hair but I had not been able to find any other pics to conferm this until now. I love it she looks so sweet now not a rag doll like before. I think julia did cut her hair as well because she didn't have a lot or any short layers in back and on the sides before. she does have it tucked behind the ear so its not a full short cut but did do some thing. It looks good but the highlights are to bright. She makes a hot burnnet, she was ok as a blonde but this new color really makes her look hot. I like maggies new cut as well. |

Yep, Shorthair, that's cut. It does look exactly like Maggie Gyllenhaal's old cut, which is kind of odd. Looks good. |

Looks to me like 2 cuts. The Nov 25 picks are definately cut, then the ones from yesterday look even shorter. Better in the second batch IMO. ------------- |

| Uh oh.... is this the return of the wedge cut? I really don't think this is flattering on any woman - the shorter front pieces just hanging there awkwardly, and the oddly-shaped back always makes me think it must have been a mistake. Julia Stiles has a cut like this on the current issue of some women's fashion magazine, and she carries it off a bit better, but still.... it really looks like Kirsten just copied Julia's cut. That's a shame, since as we saw in "The Cat's Meow," Kirsten can look pretty damn foxy with short hair. Just not this style! |

I saw that as well, but the photos aren't good enough to tell for certain. It looks cut VERY short, but it maybe a pullback. Maggie is on Conan tonight, btw. |

Certainly looks shorter but not definative enought to call it yet. If it is that makes three haircuts in the past 2 weeks. Wonder if she intended to go that short and went in stages or just didn't like the first two so kept going? Overall just not good. Although I didn't think the tapered bob was the best look on her I did think it was about the right lenght and would have been really nice if she'd tweeked it. It may sound silly to say that one color never looks good short, but I'm saying it. that in between, golden blond never looks good to me that short Short is a pretty extremem hairstyle and looks better either paler or a dark, rich color. As is looks a bit frumpy. Kirsten in general looks like she gets her hair cut at supercuts(no offense to supercuts folk) and doesn't particularly care to style it anyway. She's gone from being a particularly gorgeous teenager to a fairly ordinary 20 year old(about that age). Part of its the hair and part of it is that the is boney and awkward looking. She's a perfect example for a woman to look a and realize that sometimes its better to be 5 pounds too heavy than 5 pounds to thin and is so unpolished that her hair winds up hurting more rather than helping. ------------- |

That second photo from Julia Stiles' site isn't the day after, unless Maggie got some Miracle Gro for her head. Speaking of which, she was Conan and her hair is very short, with some longer bits up front that could go any which way I suspect. It's cute, but I actually think she cuts it herself. |

Kirsten and Maggie showed up at Sunday's press conference with new cuts. Last night at the premiere, Kirsten's hair was much shorter and Maggie's looks shorter as well. Considering Kirsten is dating Maggie's brother, odds are the ladies went to the salon together. Actually looks good on Kirsten. First time in a while her hair has looked good. The hair looked scraggly previously. This Alyssa Milano cut is one that will look solve that problem. Another problems, still unsolved, is color. She used to have a gorgeous blond color. For the last year, she's been dishwater blond. Too dark to be blond and too light to be brown. It isn't very attractive on her. She needs a color change. ------------- |

| All I can say is wow!!!!!! I can't believe that Kirsten choped her hair. she went all summer looking like an orphan and now she loks like she was a volunteer at a beauty school. I like it as an improvement and the fact I love short hair but the bangs and side burns make her look like she ran out of the salon before the stylist was finished. Then the other thing is the fact she went so short and so quick just a week ago she was weaing a new style that she could only had a month at most, and a week later she cuts it again? I wonder why she didn't wear the other style longer and why she choose this style? On a side note Julia Stiles is looking hotter every time I see her, I think it was a smart move choping her hair and coloring it. Looking back at older pics she just was not that cute as she is now. |

Watching letterman and said she might make the top shorter. She also said she was trying to get a mohawk thingy. (her words) Said she did it 3 hours before the premier and just wanted a change. Says she likes it sometimes and sometimes she doesn't. ------------- |

Kirsten was just on Letterman. He took a Leno-esque interest in her new do, devoting the first few minutes of the segement to it. Kirsten got it cut just before the premiere yesterday, just because. She was going for a faux hawk type thing, which she got. I don't know if it will last, as she seemed on the fence about it. I thought it was extremely cute, especially with what she was wearing on the show. I like the funky punk look. Hopefully she'll stick with for a bit. |

Young, attractive starlets shouldn't do mohawks, not even the modern version. It's just tacky :-P . Hopefully she will do something different with the top bit. Short hair makes her look older, which can be good, since she's still young enough to want to look older. *shrugs* Or it might be the make-up doing it, I'm not entirely sure. ------------- More awesome than a manatee! |

Kirsten looked very cute on Dave. I haven't thought so in a long while. Still thinks she needs to do something with the color. Blond or brunette, but not this dishwater blond. Dave was surprising in his hairstyle knowledge. He suggested she could go shorter, alluding to Mia Farrow's pixie, which was shorter. ------------- |

| Over all its an improvement but if she wanted a change what was wrong with the change she had done just before this? I like her angled bob she had just got. i also don't know what all the big deal is with the hair color its not that bad. She is wearing her natural color instead of putting a bunch of chemicals in her hair frying and us complaining how fried her hair looks. I would like her to finish the haircut, one side is cut and the other side she has this long side burn thing going, the front is to long and why would she want a mohawk? She has never worn her hair this short nor has she ever done any thing crazy it just does not make sense imo. It took a lot of guts to do some thing so drastic and right before a big event. |

She says, "You know when you just want to cut movies out of your hair, I just wanted a new look. "I'm going through trauma now. All I see is this little round face and this weird thing on top. Some days I like it better than others." This is what she said on Letterman the day after the cut. When a woman goes as short as Kirsten, she's bound to have love/hate the next day and some doubts. After she lives it a few weeks, she'll decide if she likes it. The second day doesn't count. ------------- |

| Yeah but I doubt that she is going to get used to it since she does have a very round face that is shown off by this new cut and this is the shortiest she has ever had her hair and she seems a little shy my guess is that she will grow it out. The more I look at pics of it the more I start to like it, it is an improvement from the long stringy boring hair she had all summer, I hope Im wrong and she does give it a chance. |

I'm a HUGE short hair proponent, but I can't say as even with a little tweaking, that it would suit her. I still vote for her "Bring It On / Drop Dead Gorgeous" do as the best look for her.
