I think she was a hideous choice as the "younger voice" on "The View." She appears to be such an air head. I can't take anything she says seriously. She looks like she should be one of Erica's daughters on "All My Children."

did anyone catch the view today? When Meredith came out she was playing with her bangs and mentioned she had just had them cut the day before. Star said something like I thought you were going to cut all your hair off and Meredith said yeah, i was but i chickened out. A good decision in my book, I think the longer hair looks good on her.

Yes....Elizabeth is due to deliver her first child at the end of March.

And the scoop is (directly from the lips of The View's PR folks) a series of "celebrity" sub hostesses will be filling in for Elizabeth while she is on her maternity leave.

I will see if I can find the email I received and post the hostess list as an FYI.

Beginning Wednesday, March 30, celebrity guest co-hosts -- including actress/singer Hilary Duff, tennis star Anna Kournikova, Kaley Cuoco of ABC's "8 Simple Rules" and Andrea Bowen of ABC's "Desperate Housewives" -- will test their co-hosting skills on ABC's "The View" throughout co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck's six-week maternity leave. Ms. Hasselbeck and her husband, NFL Quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, are expecting their first child on March 29. Stay tuned weekdays to "The View" for "Hasselbeck Baby Watch 2005." 

"The View" recently received its seventh consecutive Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Talk Show and in the Outstanding Talk Show Host category, honoring Barbara Walters, Meredith Vieira, Star Jones Reynolds, Joy Behar and newcomer Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The show received a total of 11 Daytime Emmy Award nominations. The 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be held on Friday, May 20, live, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
