| Hey, Does anyone know, did Ashlee Simpson dye her hair brown just for that new buffalo chicken pizza commercial for Pizza Hut or is this a new look? Only wondering because I wasn't sure if they just wanted her to look different from Jessica or if this is a permanent thing. Thanks. |

| I do not like the brown hair on Ashlee. I think she needs a new style. Her hair is so fine and limp. It needs some body to it. Sometimes it looks almost like a mullet. |

Since she dyed it her hair has looked better, not so thin and limp, and i love her bangs. She just looks so much classier now unlike her sister. The black hair really looks good on her, better than the brown imo. |

| I definitely think now that I have seen Ashley on some talk shows and a few more commercials that the darker look really suits her. When you think about it, few women can really pull off such dramatically different looks and still look pretty. I always wanted to go really dark but I'm so pale I'm afraid I'd look really washed out so I've never tried it. But anyways, I think her hair looks great - it's healthy, full, and shiny - so at least the change wasn't a bad one imo. |

Ashlee, to my surprise, does look good as a brunette, even though she also looks good as a blonde. I really like her current hairstyle and color, which is black, not brown. I think she was struck with brunette fever and followed Christina Aguilera's similar path last year. I noticed that female rock stars tend to have more retro/punk look than typical actresses.  Amazing transformation. |

| Sorry, I couldn't really tell from the first Pizza Hut commercial because she was only in it for a moment, and I thought that it was at least dark brown. I wasn't quite sure if it was black, that's why I corrected myself later and just said darker - I figured either way it was true. She pulls off both colors well imo. I was almost wondering if she went darker because she's putting out a cd, which I've heard her describe as somewhat more punk rock or at least in that same vein, so maybe blonde didn't stand out as all that punk. Either way, nice color. I'm not sure if I love the cut but I definitely don't think it's as bad as some people describe. |

Hi Everybody! What's up? I personally think that Ashlee Simpson is a very pretty girl and could easily pull of being blonde or brunette. Either suits her very nicely. I was going through this message board trying to find exactly what hair product Ashlee used by Clairol to get that dark brown/black color, cuz I would like to do the same to mine. There's about 5 different types of products in Clairol, each with their own shades of colors. So if anyone ever finds out the specific product, please email me at Kalencandy2486@aol.com I would greatly appreciate it. And if I find anything out, I'll definately let you guys know! Thanxx alot! | I don't know what specific Clairol product she used but I know they showed her dying her hair on her MTV show "Ashlee" and if you look closely maybe you can tell from the applicator at least which line it's from. Like, if it was Nice N' Easy or Hydrience, you maybe able to choose one of the dark brown shades in that line. I don't know what the big secret is anyhow, I mean, if she's going to tell people that she used Clairol, why not go the extra distance and just say which one, because I'm sure there are other people who are curious, even if they don't want to dye their hair that color. |

| I love Ashlee Simpson''s dark locks. They really set her apart from her sister and add to that rocker girl image that I''m sure she''s been honing to go along with her new career. She''s definitely very very dark now, but she was did initially just go brown so I can see why people may have posted that they like her "brown" hair, because at first it was just brown, then she had a dark chocolate brown, and now it''s seemed to have deepened even more into a blackish shade. I think it was smart of her to go dark in stages (as dark as she is now I mean) because it would have been treacherous for her hair to go from platinum blonde to black in one fell swoop. Plus, she probably would have experienced that initial shock that anyone who has drastically changed their color has experienced, not to say that it wasn''t a shock for her to go brown after being so light, but to have gone black, now that would have taken some getting used to on her part and the part of her fans. All in all, I think she wears it well, and as a girl with raven black hair it''s always nice to see that people aren''t so afraid of dark hair. |

As many of you know, she IS an aspiring singer. I guess the look she is going for is a 'punk' or 'retro' look. I do not think she is going to die it back blonde. And as of two weeks ago her hair was very short, like neck length, it looked like a boys haircut. If any of you have aol you could watch her archive of her live concert she did a week or two back and you can see her hair is MUCH different from her long wavy dark look. It's now straight and limp and boyish. I do like her better as a brunette though. |

I think that the dark hair makes her look a lot slimmer - I think her hair looked good in the LaLa video (short and straight) but I HATE when its long and curly. It totally looks mullet-y. Gross. She needs to grow out her hair and have a little less bangs and make her bangs more side-swept.
