n1k3n how did you get your waves so precisioned and evenly connected,is that genectics or hard brush maintenece.im starting to connect a lil but nothing like your pictures. ------------- We climb together on this site!

lol......that means alot comin from u chess.....be4 i posted 1 word i read all 32 pages(there were 32 pages wen i first came here...now i think theres 37) u'll my mentor.....im not the conceited type so im not gonna b lik "O YEA IM SPINNIN" especially since i haven't got a camera....but i've been workin at my waves since i was in 6th grade(im in 10 grade now)....in 6th grade i saw this a friend that i hadn't seen 4 3 years n he neva had waves n then he did...n those were sum serious spinners lik not evn 360 those were 720s!! lol...that was the 1 time i eva saw waves n i was lik i want that.....he tol me ask my barber....i did n a few months lata he found myself in the seat while he was applyin a kit to my hair(by the way, it was TOTALLY against my folks n evn my barber said i shood juss go natural....but of course i didn't lissen.....it was 30 dollars but back then i went wit my cuzin n wen he was my age he said he used a kit so he took pride in payin 4 me) neway, the barber(unlik moss of us) put in the kit correctly, n the waves i already had on the top of my hair(my mum has natural waves n i was born wit her hair so i always had them, but juss on the top...nuttin special though) became defined n my whole texture changes......but evn then i didn't use to use pomades or brush my hair alot....i only brushed it to put on the jel n thats it.....in 6th, 7th,8th,n even 9th grade i've had cuts, i combed my hair, i've had a fro, n i've gone against the grain lik a miliion times.......my waves on the top maintained sumwat(sumtimes....alot of times i looked lik jiggas hair....u cood c the s-curl format but only in the light).....lass year i wood brush my hair wen it was short, but wen it hit a certain point i'd juss comb it 4 lik 2-3 weeks, get a cut against tha grain, n den go home n cry(LMAO...NOT REALLY BUT SUMTIMES I wood look at my hair n say...damn...)ova tha years i've improved on my waves on my sides, back, n front....nuttin noticeable but since i ALWAYS look at my hair i can see that a pattern has formed...i juss needed sum direction so i cood reach my limits n beyond on my wavs...n then i found this site..... n thats my history on my hair so wen u finally do c my hair theres my background info....but i'll tell u that this was my first official week...got a cut to about ced's level n i used sum nu nile(thanx chess!!) n my waves look so much betta....n i can tell cuz pplz in my skool go....since wen u had waves, or, ur hair is mad shiny n wavy....or my mom.....have u been usin ne of my products?.....i dun kno if i HAVE ne new waves, but waves i neva even kno was there ARE there, mostly on my left side n back, n even though i hardly have ne thing on my right side, i neva real saw a definite pattern there n afta this week i do....sorry 4 writin all this....all of yall might think its ish...n thats kool...chess juss made me wanna give myself sum definite background instead of juss anota unknown noob who pops in n out....so there you go...thats Black Fate the Lost Prophet in a nutshell(a rather small 1) ------------- http://community.webshots.com/user/blackfate1056 - http://community.webshots.com/user/blackfate1056 |

my hair texture is genetics.. and it may help a little.. i don't know.... but as far as my waves being precise and connected.. I think it's all about the direction I brush in and not detouring my pattern... TOP = FORWARD BACK = DOWNWARD SIDES = BEGIN TO TILT AND GO AROUND AS I GO UP OR DOWN. [in sort of a 360° motion] I have seen peeps do some weird brushing.. and as a result their waves look weird as hell... It's all about the direction you brush in.. and no.. I don't turn my brush a certain way... i hold it sideways so it's easier to tilt as I go around... .. hope you understand what i'm talkin about.. BUT THE NUMBER ONE RULE IS....KEEP YOUR HAIR MOISTURIZED!!!! As far as brushes... I have switched up brushes often to find that medium works the best...
