I don't like the style, looks very unbrushed. And the color is ugly too.

Notice the blue sky background, snow and sunshine... she's outdoors. Chilly and probably breezy... resulting in wind-blown hair.

Looks like Lindsay Lohan. I prefer the "old" Keri Russell look.

Are you kidding me? LOL. Get a grip. Plenty of people here -- you included -- post that you like and prefer celeb x, y or z with short hair -- and it is accepted without question.

You don't seem to understand my response to amymusic... I thought you were smart enough to figure it out Hal.

Bleh, I liked her hair in the tight little curls much more than this.

I have to agree Kuroneko, this style is going nowhere ... prooves that celebs are only human too - and so is their hair (despite the mega bucks they spend on them)!

You are right, it may be the environment playing a toll on her hair in that pic. I just prefer her with her gorgeous long golden ringlets. That was her trademark. I hate when people with a beautiful feature try to reinvent or improve themselves. Just like people who are pretty going to get plastic surgeory when they don't need it. Then they kick themselves afterwards because they realize they should have just left themselves alone. In this case, its just hair and it grows back, and needless to say its physically painless, unlike a nosejob. But her signature long curly highlighted hair was something to go "awe" about, because it wasn't as common as your everyday straight hairstyle. Her hair had great texture, length, and color. Which is something you don't see everyday. Compare the pic above with the one below and you will see what I mean.

I think it looks quite stunning, actually. The color suits her well and her hair, even if not curly, is still gorgeous. What I wouldn't give to have hair this nice.

I will agree that she looks like Lindsay Lohan now. So much so, in fact, that it's eerie.

Well, I think she looks fine with the darker hair, just it looked better in the tight curls. Just get the two together and it should work.

You have to admit though that the curls did look much more juvenile. Maybe she doesn't want to look like a teenager for the rest of her life.

That is true. She looks more serious and intellectual now if you will. but i still love the curls. dark curls would look nice on her as well seeming that her eyes are light, its a nice contrast. i still like the highlights though just personal preference.

Isn't it interesting that women with curly hair want it straight, and women with straight hair want it curly!

I don't like Keri's hair long and straight. It looks much better in its natural state. Howver, when she cut her hair short, there was a magazine layout where her hair had been flat-ironed, and with short straight hair, she looked AMAZING. You would have sworn that it was a different person.

Keri seems to be one of those individuals that their fans will only accept with a certain hairstyle, like Crystal Galye!

I thought she looked good with short hair, too, though I didn't see it pressed straight.

The ironed hair was after she started to grow it out. It was quit long by then, about two to three inches long all over with the back cut shorter, like a crop here is a pic http://www.kerirussell.com/images/27.jpg - http://www.kerirussell.com/images/27.jpg

notice how happy she looked in all the pics after she chopped off all that hair and how sexy she looked imo.

I also think she would look hottier if she would let her curls come back, long or short hair. Its ok to straighten it once in a while for a change but don't ruin something as sexy as curls that are natural, when others pay good money and get fried hair to look like that.

It not only looked healthier, I bet you it was! And I have to agree with ssjockey: she looked like a completely different person with her hair short. More mature, more selfconfident and even happier (??).

Too bad if she only has her hair long again to please her fans ... That's a form of coercion that’s worse than a peer trying to force a hairstyle on you. Since you make your living by the grace of the fans, you stand to loose (partly) your income …

Yep, I'm happy not being a celeb. But I wouldn't mind having their income.

Me too, but I would love to date one, Jennifer Love Hewitt, shes had some intresting hair styles over the years. Keri did grow her hair out because of a few out spoken people who caused the ratings to drop on her show, however she has not done like anything since the show went off the air and she could have cut it again by now if she wanted to. Since some of us think she does not look to happy with the long hair, my self included, you got to ask why has she not cut it yet and wear it the way she wants, besides straight.

How can a few outspoken people cause ratings to drop?

Keri's hair didn't cause the ratings to decline. Sucky writing in the second season caused the ratings to decline.

As for Keri's hair, it's looked great both curly and straighter (it's not really straight) but I prefer the long and curly.
