She looks absolutely awesome. I love the blond look. She must've just had it done for the SNL appearance since she was still brown at the Super Bowl. It's amazing that no one would even know Kelly if it wasn't for American Idol......

It looks really nice. I usually don't like when people go blonde but that's a really nice color on her.

I'm pretty sure I read a long time ago that her natural color is blond. She died it darker.

Not that I know for sure, but I seriously doubt that her natural color is blonde. Maybe really dark blonde, practically brown blonde, but definitely, not the blonde she has as of late. I personally do not like the new look. She looks good in some pics and some clips I've seen on tv, but if you look at some of the pics on gettimage, the color totally washes out her face and looks pretty gnarly. I think she's more striking with the brown hair (and I think it's natural). I like her hair best when it's brown with highlights and she wears more subdued makeup. This new hair color seems too Britney or Jessica. I don't know, I guess it just seems like more of an attempt to fall in line with the other blonde pop stars than just something she did because she wanted a change. Maybe a different shade of blonde would look better, but right now, I'd much rather see her with brown hair. On an unrelated note, I love Joss Stone's hair color and thought it looked great at the Grammy's. Very relaxed and easygoing, but with a definite bit of sex appeal. If I had her coloring, I'd go for the same hair style and color, but I'm too pale for it to work.

To Quote American Idol Judge Randy Jackson:

"Dude, I'm just not feelin' it...."

Paula Abdul:

"Pretty, but maybe it was pretty brown too, I'm not sure this was the right choice for you"

Simon Cowell:

"Wrong Color, Wrong Style, doesn't suit you, absolutely dreadful"

and finally from a consolling Ryan Seacrest:

"Gosh, they were kind of harsh, I really like it! Don't forget to text Cingular fans if you like it!"

Im having a hard time telling Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Katy Rose, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguliera, Joss Stone and Enimem apart anymore.
Is it a prerequiste to be blonde in order to sing these days?

it looks brassy and makes her look very pale. she is the one that says she has natural blonde hair on her q&a page on her website. However, I have seen pics of her from highschool and she had brown hair and then I saw one where she bleached it white-blonde and it looked horrible. usually you can tell if someone is a natural blonde by their skintone and how the blonde looks on them. she is definately a natural brunette and should go back to her roots. i think the darker hair makes her look thinner too.

I think that if she says that she is a natural blonde on her website, then she's either lying or she's referring back to when she was like 2 or something, because there's no way that her hair is naturally blonde. I mean, I don't really care, but I find it awfully hard to believe she is naturally blonde.

hello Hadley Brynn,
Would your screen name be a reference to a movie?

Hey Hal, Not that I'm aware of. That's my given name (first and middle). So unless my mom got it from a movie, I've never really heard anything about it, but I also sort of had a tendency growing up to not listen to anything my parents said so I very well could be named after something in a movie or a movie itself, but I had no clue.

I posted on the Avril topic about how people polled in the latest US Weekly preferred both Avril and Kelly as brunettes, and surprisingly it did say on p. 126 that Kelly is naturally blonde, but I'm sorry, she does not look like she's naturally blonde. Maybe as a baby or something, but the brunette seems more natural. Plus, isn't she part Greek? I have family on my mom's side who are Greek and I realize they don't all have brown or black hair, but I kind of think that it's more likely she's naturally brunette (even light brown). I just can't believe that she's naturally blonde. The brown looks so much better on her.

Her hair was naturally blonde when she was little, but it darkened to brown over the years. She's naturally brunette.

My hair was red for the first year of my life or so, but it's been dark brown since then. I wouldn't claim to be a natural redhead.
