"I want to grow my hair out." Many people roll their eyes and laugh when I say that, because I eventually get it cut short. I had it growing good for over a year, and then I *foolishly* got a perm. When the perm was finally starting to come out, my hair seemed like nothing but dead weight, so I cut it. I took off over a foot of hair... resulting in hair above chin-level. I enjoyed it for a while... I even got a bunch of layers put in... But now it annoys me... And I don`t like the way I look with short hair. So, here I am. Going for my next attempt to grow my hair out... and I want to do it right. So I came here for support. My longest layer is shoulder-length. I don`t mind the layers, so I`m going to keep them in... and I`m going to try to avoid trims... but with that, avoiding dyes and brushing my hair when wet... So... any suggestions for a newbie? |

Hi! I used to have hair to the middle of my back! But I foolishly cut it up to my chin this winter! i hate it short! I shouldn`t have cut it. And everyone keeps asking me why I cut my hair! i don`t know! anyways, I guess we`re both trying to do the same thing. I`m also growing out my bangs! which is another depressing ...whatever. lol I have little patience, but hopefully it will grow! I am taking GNC Nourishair, and use the Nourishair shampoo. My hair feels healthier, and I`m hoping it will make it grow quicker, cause my hair grows so slow. I also take two GNC Silica pills a day. hope this helps you! Good Luck. ------------- *Maire2001* |

Hello Linus Hmmm well for starters hide the fashion magazines because I remember when I was in my teens I wanted to try every style and that is no way to grow your hair. Secondly do get your trims not as often as you did and wear earplugs so that you aren`t persuaved. ( okay joking about the earplugs but you get my point) Try some wigs and find out what length you would like. ------------- dianefromcanada |
