About a year ago, I colored my dark ash blond hair, which had natural sun highlights. I had read that permanent coloring would rough up the cuticle and give it some more body. All I want now is to STOP coloring my hair. It's always been very healthy and shiny, and now i have to use conditioner to keep it from being dry, which negates any body the color gives me. I used Clairol Hydrience Starfish (Dark BLonde) hoping it would work. The color came out a dark blonde, but still not exactly what my natural color was--all haircolor looks brassy to me. Can anyone recommend an at-home fix for this? I am unable to go to a salon and spend the kind of money i'd need to in order to get professional help. Thank you sooo much!
