I`m tired of dying my hair, and I`m looking into my alternatives. Unfortunately, the stylists I`ve spoken with have given completely different options, and I`m not sure of what would be the best.
1. Stripping the dye, then dying it back to the correct color.
2. Going a shade darker to get the red out, then highlighting streaks to match the roots.
3. One stylist said he could fix it with dying. I`m reluctant to believe this, but I admittedly don`t know much about corrective coloring. My hair was just between dark blonde/light ash brown. I`ve since dyed it at least seven times with semi-permanents, and it`s currently a medium burgandy, sort of violet/auburn (with around three inches of roots, sigh.)
I don`t want to damage my hair too badly, or cut it above shoulder length. I spent most of junior high with unruly boyish hair, and as a result, I`m awfully proud of having it waist length and under control. ;)
Any advice on fixing this one would be greatly appreciated, and whichever option I go with, I`ll keep you guys posted.
