Over here in Britain it's Comic Relief's Red Nose Day on March 13, and some of my friends are taking part in the sponsored Bad Hair Day. They're looking to make a spectacular mess of their hair - and I'm helping, so any ideas? One is allergic to hair dye, which is a shame because red is the charity's official colour and we could have done something with that. So far all we have is the idea of doing 'something with a crimper' - any more ideas? :) It's not often girls actually want to be seen in public with bad hair - so this is really a once-in-a-lifetime appeal for advice/help!

If you are really serious about making it look awful make it greasy. There is nothing worse.....

That's hilarious...if I could raise money solely by having bad hair days I'd be rich by now. What if you washed your hair the night before and while it's still wet put in tiny little braids all over. When you undo them it has the crimped look (only worse, in my estimation) and isn't as damaging as using those bygone appliances. Also, as far as color goes you could try some of the colored gels that make your hair rock hard and add some bizarre shade as well. Good luck....let us know how this turns out and be sure to take photos to laugh over in 10 years!
