I went to the salon yesterday and got my hair highlighted and it came out way too blonde, and conrasted too much to my dark brown asian hair...it looked horrible, so today i decided to dye it with a semi-permanent color in a light ash brown and it looks a lot better. i was just so frustrated after paying for the highlights and i didn't want to go back to the salon...too busy and i have an interview tomorrow morning. The highlights are a lot better..more caramel like it was supposed to be. Does anyone know how to keep the brassiness out? Also, has anyone used the Altrec color depositing shampoos?? Was wondering if i could use them later on to keep my highlights natural looking.

Hey Etoile...I'm in the process of getting them in right now...
I've had the class, but no first hand experience yet.
be sure that your formula is right for your hair....taking into consideration the lightest parts as well as the brassiest.
Its not actually a shampoo, in that it isn't made to replace your regular color protect shampoo. (maybe you know all of this already)
I would say....Get to the tone you like and use the ARTec to maintain....maybe once or twice a week. Or whatever your Stylist says Of course.
