I need help! I`ve had the same haircut, in varying lengths since 1987 (all one-length, blunt cut). Every stylist says there really are no other options since my hair is so thick and wavy/curly with a tendency to frizz. Layers just make my already "big hair" bigger by stacking. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I need a change!

Two options I`d try: "vertical layering" ie) the carve and slice technique advocated by Ouidad at her famous curly haired salon in NYC. Go check out the website for an explanation.

Or the rope twist technique: random sections are twisted into ropes, then small nips are cut all along it. Very curly hair friendly. You`ll have to explain either of these techniques to the stylist, most likely. ~8-}
