Being a curly girl - I have tried EVERYTHING on the market over the years. I have found the ways to keep my hair curly and frizz free are as follows: -
1. I wash my hair with Redken ALLSOFT range - not cheap but lasts for ages (the results are worth the money, and it makes you feel good)
2. I use a wide tooth comb to separate hair B4 shampoo and then I run my hands through only when drying.
3. Use John Frieda - Frizz Ease Corrective Mouse - no alcohol in this and it keeps the curl really well.
4. Use a small amount of silicone serum on the ends (I use Redken Glass or John Frieda Frizz Ease serum) and then dry using a diffuser - make sure your head is upside down and do not touch it too much.( be patient, do not try to dry too quickly, the hair will go `crunchy`) When nearly dry, turn head up and scrunch into head softly and let it cool down - voila!
Anyway, this is what I do every few days and it works for me - after years of bad hair days, I finally seem to be getting it right.
If anyone has got any tips and ideas they use, I am listening.
