I have curly/wavy hair so I straighten it with a blowdryer every night. Lately I`ve been getting "frizzy" hair on the top of my head. I don`t know if it`s new hairs or what. I`ve been blowdrying my hair for about 2 and half years now and this has only been happening for the last few months. Any ideas on how I can make the hair flatter or less noticable?

Hi,

Adding moisture to the frizzy section will help. I am not sure what type of shampoo or conditioner you use but use a moisturizing shampoo on JUST the section that frizzes and use your regular shampoo throughout the rest of your hair.

Use a good leave-in conditioner for the frizzy part. I would recommend Phyto 7 or 9. They come in a tube and you can thus control the exact amount to use and play with. Apply that to just the frizzy part to get extra moisture. Frizziness is always the result of dryness and lack of moisture no matter what the cause.

Also, try blow drying the frizzy part with your hair bent over. This will help in some cases.

Finally, use a serum on just the frizzy part to help is lay flatter.

Best wishes,

I have the exact same problem. I use Moisture
Scensation by Abba as a conditioner. I`m sure to
comb it all the way through. Then, I use some Jojoba oil for the top of my head where the short hairs are that are particularly susceptible to the frizzies. Actually, I put the Jojoba oil all the way through the hair.
