Here's my problem - My friends talked me into getting a perm - it looks pretty good, but is very curly, all one length and about to my shoulders. Since my hair is quite thick - I have quite a mound of curls. Now this is fun to have most of the time, however I work in an office environment and need to tame it up a bit. Could someone please advise on some styles for the office? Before, I mainly wore it straight and parted in the middle or side, and this was appropirate. But now I could use some new ideas. Thanks much!

My hair isn't perm-curly, it's more wavy than curly. But I use headbands for work from time to time, to keep my hair out of my face and there are some lovely ones. That might work.
One braid down your back might be nice, if you don't mind wearing it off of your face. Very office-appropriate.

Thanks for the advice. I do need to branch out into hairbands. Back braids won't work as my hair isn't quite long enough. The length is just above the shoulders. Most days I wear my hair parted on the side and with my volume of curls, I need to style it carefully so it doesn't fall in my face too much. Still, it can get quite shaggy at time and cover my eyes. I also part it in the middle on some days, mainly Fridays, for my "youthful" look (I am 24).
Any other style tips?

Hi! You could try pulling the front back in rows with little butterfly clips...or try one of those metal headbands with the looped teeth (I dunno what they're called)- they give your hair a lot of volume and look GREAT on curly hair...or try a French braid (its hard with curly hair but works well if its not that long)...there are all sorts of other kinds of accessories that you can use (conservative enough for an office, I think). Go to the store, grab a few, and have some fun with 'em! Just a couple of ideas...hope they help!
Love, Inga :)
