Help, I have a perm that I don't like. But my hair is also colored. Can I still straighten it?

Sorry to hear you are unhappy with your perm. You don't say how long you have had it - it will relax on its own a bit after each shampoo (especially of you use Prell). The quickest way I know to relax a perm is to get another box, put the perm solution on (do not wind your hair on rods), comb it through until your hair is relaxed, then neutralize.
Bear in mind that these chemicals can be harsh so be sure use a perm made for your hair type and condition. You should also plan on doing some serious conditioning after doing this.
Good luck!!!

Your hair is colored AND permed? Poor hair. I SERIOUSLY suggest you speak to a stylist - your hair is probably damaged enough as it is and what you describe seems to me as risking (in a worst but not perhaps far-fetched case scenario) as bad as the disintegration of your hair - well, anyway, it breaking, frying... Best talk to a professional about this.

I agree with Duke.
Using Prell will just dry it out even more.
Talk to your stylist about it.

I have actually seen the procedure Merlin mentions used and it did work. BUT, as suggested, there are hazards using it and extreme caution is advised. It is not something to be entered into lightly. While it works, it should be a last resort and even then knowing that damage most likely will result. BE CAREFUL!!
