Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I am not sure how many of you are members of other curly sites like NC.com and The Long Hair Community discussion boards because I hang around there a lot. Since I am obssessed with my long curly hair and always love talking about it and hearing about other people's long curly haired adventures, I joined this board.

My hair is presently around 30.25" and I consider it a 3a/b combination of curls. I was going to Devachan in NYC for my haircuts (last one in Jan '04) but I decided recently that I wanted my hair all one length again. There are a few layers in it and they will be growing out over the next year or so (hopefully sooner) SO I do not go to Devachan at the present time (They are GREAT, but insist I need to cut layers to bring out the curl) BUT I am a rebel and I want my hair classic length and it looks thicker and healthier if it was all one length. I just dont want to look like Slash from Guns and Roses if I have layers in my hair and its down to my butt!

If I need a trim, which is every 3 months, I do it myself via Faye's Method. I usually take of about 1/4 inch. Last time was May 18 or 19th, I cant remember. Since I have curly hair and wear it that way almost 100% of the time, if the trims are a little off you really couldnt tell. For the REALLY accurate trims I will go to Madora's Longhairheaven in NYC to get my trim and GM treatment too, while I am there (they are awesome) Last GM treatment was Feb 21, '04.

Nice talking to everyone and I cant wait to hear about your hair adventures, obssessions, and everything else hair related
