Subject: Short haircut question. PLEASE HELP!!!

Right now I have long, thick, poofy hair (curly when I put products in it) and I've always wanted to chemically streighten it and cut it short (look at the pic below). But I'm very worried about how it's gonna look, especially with that type of haircut because whenever I tried to streighten it myself (irons, etc), it always came out very poofy. So my question is, does chemical straightening really does give you streight hair and can they do the process if your hair is that short? Has anyone tried to do that? Will my hair actually look like the one in the pic? Thanks!

Well, everyones hair will turn out different no matter if you put the same product or the same cut on it. so therefore you may not end up looking exactly like the pic but you can incorrperate it to be your own.
i have straightend my hair before, although mine is quite long. It works very beautifully. my hair is wavy not curly, therefore my warning is that the wave will evintually come back.
there is a process that is suppose to be "perminate" though. i have a family member that has done it on very curly hair. she has to go in and merly get the roots touched up every once in a while because (as hair being naturaly grown a ceratin way) it will still grow out curly.
straighting is a greats sovler to the drying-your-hair-out-blow-drying-process though. I would recomend it (doing it at professionas of course) lif you are serious and would try the non-perm one first.
sorry so long-

yup, the poof is hard to get rid of, even when you blow dry it straight. i have curly, frizzy hair and when i had it super short, it was very difficult to try and straighten it out; i only tried it once and it was awfully poofy so i continued to wear it curly which looked great! if you do decide to straighten it, please do so at a salon, it is so easy to screw up when doing something like that yourself. Just make sure to get regular touch-ups, not very different from going in regularly to touch up your color.

Don't have any pics on my computer of when it was really short, this is grown out quite a bit. Sorry, it's still not a good pic.
