Karen or anyone, cn you give me instructions on how to do Nicole's updo from the recent Oscars? It would love to wear that to my Prom.

Hi,
The lovely Ms. Kidman has naturally curly hair that is currently colored blonde from her natural red. As a result a celebrity hairstylist recently confided that when they blow dry her hair straight it tends to be a little on the wispy side. The hairstylist blow dried it straight and then applied a good serum to give it silkiness and manageability. Her hair was pulled back off her face and up into a tight ponytail at the back of her crown and then carefully twisted and sculpted into a soft looped chignon. Simple but elegant and stunning.
I think Nicole's hair looked awesome and her stylist should be congratulated for giving her a fabulous style what worked with her dress and her overall elegant look.

Is Nicole's hair naturally blonde or red? I thought it was red but now that it is blonde it actually looks move natural. I think I read somewhere that Winona Ryder's hair is also naturally blonde but she dyes it brunette?

You're right on about Winona. According to the Internet Movie Database (a great site with wonderful star trivia,) "her real hair color is blonde but when she made her first major film, Lucas, her hair color was dyed black and she was told to keep it that color."
