My daughter has short to medium length. Let's say if I do a pony tail, she has a short tail. She wants me to do her hair but have no clue what to do. She does want those long type curls that come down and I bought the rods for it. I also bought her rhinestone pins to dress it up. I'd like to pull the hair around her face back, since she doesn't want to pull it up. But I need suggestions and how to create such a look. I hope someone here can help offer me some advice.

Hello again
Hmmm - guess I can't help you after all as it is difficult to advise you without seeing your daughters hair and considering the options.
I suggest you experiment tonight &/or tomorrow morning and see if you can find a look that she is happy with.
Sorry I couldn't help you out.

Put it in a ponytail and tie the ponytail with a long, colorful silk or chiffon scarf. Or you could do what Jasmine suggested to a girl on another board, tie a scarf around her head like a headband and have the scarf dangle to one side, like you see some fashion models wear scarfs.
Try something different like that. And have the scarf match her dress of course.

Oh, wait, I know! Make all the long, spiralling curls all over her head, then pull back and pin just the sides, but leaving out a curl or two at the sides of her face. Then you can poke in a pretty flower or a glittery hair accessory or something to make it look nice. *nods* That might look nice.

I find clamps easiest of all accessories to work with for formal hair do's. My hair is longer than your daughters, but perhaps you can find clamps useful, especially if you want to pull the hair back from the face. Perhaps try pulling the hair back with a clamp and doing the back in the long curls with the rod.
I hope this didn't find you too late. Please let us know how it went.
