My hair is mixed black. In it`s natural state, it is very coarse, wiry and brittle. It looks like a super afro. There seems to be hardly a conditioner or potion that really works on it. I definitely use hair grease in it`s natural condition. If I pull it straight in a pony tail and wet it it dries wavy-like. Comb it and it`s a big afro. It swells into and uncontrollable bush and forget trying to curl it. The curls rarely last and it gets so frizzy. I have rexlaxed it, and have lost gobs of hair. I have cried watching my own hair rinse down the drain in big wooly pads. I have not applied relaxer for over a year and can only wear it in pony tail related styles. Many shampoos and conditioners cause my hair to mat together like dreads. Combing my hair out after shampoos takes hours. I am so depressed about it. What`s worse, because it is mixed it has characteristics of different types and no one understands it. I too, am very interested if this product works on black hair, since it seems most products that work on my hair are black products. I`m also wondering if there are any other forums for black hair. The relaxers are too harsh on most black folks hair and it causes it to break and thin out. Colored folk have naturally thick heads of healthy hair, but the products they use to control it and manage it take their toll. Ever look how beautiful and thick little kids hair is before they start processing it? Wondering why there is not much attention given to the other parts of the population? Hoping this is a good product. I`ve heard that it only lasts 8-12 weeks. Does this mean you have to get the whole head redone all the time. Does hair break off? Can it be applied over relaxed hair. Can relaxer be applied over it if results are not satisfactory?
Wondering too?, K
