Relaxer didnt take

Can anyone tell me if I can apply a lye relaxer over a no lye relaxer 4 weeks after the no lye was applied? The reason I`m asking is because the no lye relaxer didnt take and its as though my hair was never relaxed. So I decided to wait a few weeks and re-relax it with a lye perm and then I would go back to doing my hair every 2 months. Does anyone know if this would be ok.

When I was younger, my mother put PCJ in my hair again not even four weeks after my very first touch-up was done at the salon, which was a PCJ. Nothing bad happened, but then again, that was a kiddie perm, and my hair was completely virgin when I got the PCJ put in my hair at the salon. In general, I`d would think of it as a "no-no" because the second time around could cause hair breakage, but I am no expert.
So how did your hair turn out? Was it your first time ever getting a perm?

I BELIEVE YOU NEED TO JUST LET YOUR HAIR GROW OUT FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS THEN APPLY THE LYE RELAXER, BECAUSE YOU`LL ONLY BE APPLYING THE RELAXER TO THE NEW GROWTH NOT THE HAIR WITH THE NO LYE RELAXER.
