Hi Kelli.

Well, I consider them both good considering that they don`t do anywhere as near the damage that a permanent can do. I`ll tell you this. If you want your color to last longer, you might as well get the semi-permanent. I`ve had both, and I can tell you from experience that a rinse will be a nuisance. Well, they were for me. I had a red one and a black one, and the black one was especially messy because it bled onto the collar of my shirts. What a nuisance. The semi-permanent is meant to last more than the rinse, therefore, you won`t have to worry as much about the color bleeding.

But, a lot of hairdressers recommend getting rinses because it helps to protect your hair since it is covering the strands. A lot of stylists recommend clear rinses because they give hair a shine. I`ve gotta try it.

I suggest you try out a rinse first. They both have the same amount of power, considering that neither one can lift your natural color or make it lighter.
