This is the greatest cordless heat cap, and the only one i've seen..it heats in the microwave in 90 seconds and stays hot up to 30 minutes! you can reheat for 30 more minutes! I use a plastic cap to keep it clean and it also makes for a steamy heat treatment to pentrate my moisturizes, oil,etc.. It's really great for itchy scalps,,helps oils penetrate through hair shaft and make scalp soft!!You do need heat,but not dry heat like conventional dryers at salons,etc..This is also so convienent because I don't have to be plugged in to the wall..I can move around the house or even take a bath!
