read the ingredients on the back of a shampoo/conditinoer bottle? Well yesterday, a free small sample package of Dove conditioner was given to me. For some reason I read the ingredients and it has multiple amounts of different words with "alcohol" at the end of it especially right as the 2,3,4 ingredients. Then i started looking at the ingredients on the back of my own shampoos and conditioners and none of them had the alcohol words. So anyways i through it away. | Not all alcohols are bad. You did not need to throw out the Dove conditioner. It is actually a decent conditioner. |

I read the ingredients on the shampoo and conditoner bottles also. I noticed the alcholo too.I asked my hairdresser about the alcohol and she said you do need some alchohols to clean your scalp and it also helps to remove the proucts that you put on your hair. She also said something about it cleans the hair folicals.I got a sample of the Dove shampoo and conditioner also, I didn't like it, my hair felt dry afterwards,but my mother-in-law loves it.

well it was just a sample package i have plenty of shampoos and conditioners here and alcohol may be ok but i didnt feel it was ok that there were about 2-5 different alcohols in it and they were at the very top of the ingredients i just feel it would dry my hair out alcohol does that to my skin... and alot of stylist really dont know all the answers and some will tell u anything to keep u coming there thanks for the replies tho  ------------- Natural BC May 9, 2004 |

| Did you think about researching the alcohols online? As others have said, not all alcohols are bad and it's amazing the words they list to describe common ingredients. |
