Okay Ive had long hair forever. And every summer I chop off my hair. Here is me last summer BEFORE I cut my hair: http://members.aol.com/eastindiangurl/images/longhair.jpg - and here is me now- still long, but not as long. http://members.aol.com/eastindiangurl/images/animalprintroom.jpg - before my hair was past my rear now its to my waist. YES THAT IS MY REAL HAIR. but does anyone else just feel like going short? Its soo hot in fla, and I have to get perms. Sometimes the humidity makes the new growth look kinda ...eww you know? But I dont want to go so short I look boyish. ANyone else in the same situation? Do you think i should stay long or short? Hey, hair grows back anyways lol

I think you should stay long. That is what I would do anyway. It's hot and humid here in Texas but it doesn't affect my hair in a bad way. Well... it does but only when I don't use protective hairspray. I usually wear it in a bun or long braid. I always imagine how I would look with short hair. But I imagine ear length. I have never had short hair before. I'm tempted to cut but I don't think I will ever do it. I like the way my long hair looks and feels too much.  Then again, the most fun for me is reaching my next hair length goal. This weekend I am going to cut 3 inches off though. thanks for the advice...glad i didnt cut it- i pulled my hair back to see how i would look...my face woouldnt look cute with a shorter do. i guess im impulsive- i tend to do things on a whim but glad i didnt. for the summer i'll just keep it up in a bun. its just so hot sometimes and heavy and washing it is a b---ch. lol ------------- Taking long hair to a whole new level |

Good for you!!! I have a big head so I don't think I woud look good with my ahir very short either. lol Whenever I am tempted to cut. I wait a few weeks. By that time, if I still want it gone, I go a head and do it. I do it myself too. That way, I can only blame myslelf. :-) I don't have problems washing mine. i switch up shampoos alot, because after a while my hair gets used to them. if im trying to get out alot of styling products, i use that cheap .89 cent suave shampoo because its pretty potent. But most of the time I use Pantene's women of color line. It leaves my hair super soft but I dont use it if ive had alot of gel in my hair cause it never really cleans my hair.
