hi
i (obviously) am black and i have a severe passion for dying my hair. which i know is bad.
but a little over a year ago i bleached my hair and dyed it myself.
and it actually came out really good and my hair was still healthy after it.
(as healthy as it could be under the circumstances so my hair stylist said).
but yeah it was fine and there was no breakage.

until i went to see a different person because she wasnt there. so i saw the guy and he over permed my hair. cause immediate breakage. and that was around.. i think october or november.
so i have had numerous perms after that.
but im ever changing mind is aching to try a new color. so any ideas?
and yeah i have a kind of thing about pink hair. which is the color i dyed it last time.
but i dont want all of my hair to end up in my comb and not on my scalp.

also.. (sorry lol)
i am also thinking about growing out my perm and having natural hair.
now i was wonder if i put some kind of styling product on it is there even the slightest chance it could resemble the singer Kelis' hair?

thanx a bunch.

GlitterGam, i would answer you questions but im am going to do this instead - you will be forever grateful (as i am) later on:
I noticed that you had mentioned that you were thinking about going natural. I am black also and have recently decided to find new healthy was to care for my hair and when doing research on the net i came across a wonderfull board for caring for our hair type the address is: http://www.longhaircareforum.com. - http://www.longhaircareforum.com. you will be able to view the many, many thread and gain a whole lot of information but you will not be able to post threads(questions) unless you pay the $5 fee - which i think it worth it...i didnt do it cause i live in canada and dont want to go through all of that right now but i know i will in the near future!. So good luck with your new discovered hair journey!

Hello,
So you want to go natural where there are a few sites I suggest you take a look at they are free some have photos of what people did to their hair while transitioning from perm to natural and styles and things like that the link is...
www.nappturality.com
www.motowngirl.com and they have extra links to look at.

I am not sure what your hair look like at the moment to have it look like Kelis but from what you said you hair have been thru some major issues. Maybe you should focus on the health of your hair right now before dying it again, nothing wrong with dying the hair but if its damaged, we might want to work on that first.
