I have a fade now and now i want to grow my hair out and get those iverson braids. Does anybody know any good steps on my journey to the braid game? Also some steps on growin out my hair naturally, like with natural oils? Im a black male. Peace and holla back!

i mean like my hair literally stopped growin once it got to that length so some mousse's or gels to ensure growth would really help but i think i should start usin the ones that help provide u with curls so yea use some of those

DO NOT USE GEL, GREASE, etc. on your scalp. This will clog your pores and then stop growth. Your scalp needs to be clean, free from anything but it's own natural oils in order to grow healthy. Use a good conditioner, wash and condition once to twice a week (No more) and use a light oil on then ends of your hair. I would also suggest that you use a silk du-rag at night. I'm also African American, so is my boyfriend, and I've helped him grow his hair twice. If you have a fade now, just wash and condition (no need for oil just yet), once you start getting a little lenght, you can start using the oil on the ends so that your hair doesn't get too dry. Dry hair breaks off. I hope this helps. Oh yea, when you wash and condition, try to massage your scalp, or have someone else condition, and massage your scalp b/c this will promote growth. Good luck.

I almost forgot, It's very important that you eat healthy, drink at least 8 glasses of water daily, and take a multi vitamin. I would suggest One A Day for Men (Active), if you are involved in sports, etc. As far as eating healthy, just make sure you eat a few servings of veggies and fruit, it may be hard to get into the habbit of eating veggies everyday, but it will really help your hair growth and your skin. Everything looks better when you eat veggies and drink water.

i've had ma hair for five years since 2000, and i juss cut it a couple of days ago. im a black male, and i used to get it braided, then keep it in fa two weeks. I would wash it and use conditioner on it every time i would take my braids down. Try to keep it clean wit braids, and while your growing your hair.
