i have a question though...ive been growing out my hair for 3 months, and i have about 2 or 2 1/2 inches of hair...the problem is my hair type...i have extremely thick wavy hair, which is a result of my dad having nappy hair and my mom having straight hair...the longer it grows the wavier it gets, and if i just dry it and dont brush it or anything, it shapes itself up like a fro, because the hair just bunches up on top of each other, instead of growin long and down like white people hair...however, all my life ive brushed my hair foward, and my barber said that i have to start brushing it back or picking it to get my tape done properly...but my hairs not use to it, so if i pick it or brush it back itll just stand up completely...is there anyway where i can pick my hair and itll look good? because whenever i try to pick it it just sticks up and it looks weird...
i was contemplating getting twists and gettin em redone on weekends so i dont have to wear my hair out, because (no offense to whites) im not gonna have my hair comin down in my face like em white folks do...but its weird because that only happens in the front of my tape...on the sides and the back it grows like a fro but not the very front lol...i dunno, its weird to describe...
my home girl described my hair at the stage of being too short to be long and too long to be short lol...
so yea back to the question is there anyway to get my hair to be picked without just sticking up besides getting a blowout? (i dont want to get a blowout because i wnat to keep all my hair even)..
