my hair is naturally curly and i like to play in it alot.. its just a nervous habit i have to just sit and pull my hair and like twist it around my finger and loosen the knots.. i was told that i could do that so much that my hair could start falling out.. is that true? cus if so ill have to start smoking or something to stay outta my hair...

Yes, excess pulling or tension can cause hair loss if done long term. Many dancers will get "ballerina hairline" (receding hairline from too much tension) because of tight hairbuns. The same applies for constant pulling. Preferably you can find something to keep your hands busy. If it's stress, maybe you can find other ways to relieve it (e.g. meditation, prayer, a hobby, etc.. ).

i wouldnt say its tresspassing...youre free to go where you want..
but you've been a great help.. i noticed that when i do pull at it , maybe a strand or two may fall out at a time... maybe ill take up knitting.. i'll keep my hair and make some new sweaters for the winter...
